As soon as we got home, I went straight to my room. Oh god, oh god. Why am I actually blushing a bit? It's just Palm, I tried saying to myself. I don't want to lose my cool around him! I thought about him kissing me the whole night. It was different than with Ben. I didn't feel anything with Ben, but with Palm... Stop! Stop thinking about it. It has nothing to do in your head, Nueng! I guess I'm even thinking to myself. What did the kiss mean? Why did he do it? Or maybe he just did it to make me feel better? I'm going crazy. When I got from school the next day, I asked Palm's dad if he could take him with us now. He said "I'm not sure about this... Maybe we should not. He can walk!" Woah, my dad would've totally let him come with us. What's the big deal anyways, them being our "servants"? I let out a big sigh. "Hmm, I guess not then..." His dad's eyes twitched for a second, seemed like he was seriously thinking about it. "Ok, Khun Nueng." He finally said. Yes! It worked. Uhm. I mean. Good for Palm. We waited a bit for him, as I saw him going to the bus stop, I called him to me. "Palm! Over here!!!" He walked up to us, looking a little confused. "What is it, Khun Nueng?" "You're coming with us." Even more confused, he looked at his dad, like he didn't believe it. "Just get in." He told him. I also got in the backseat next to Palm. "Hey, me and Palm are going to go home from here. Let us out." Palm's dad stopped the car. "Uhm, okay. I guess." Palm looked so confused when he got out of the car, I had to giggle. "What are we doing here, Khun Nueng?" I looked at him. "We are going to walk from here, like I said." He nodded.
After some time of walking, we heard a weird sound.
"Did you hear that too, Khun Nueng?" He asked. "Mh." I nodded. "Let's go see what it is. Maybe someone needs help! It sounded like a fight." I rolled my eyes. "Palm, we want to go home today, not tomorrow..." I lectured him, even though I knew he was right. Wait, he's gone. "Palm!" I called after his sillouette. But he didn't stop. "Ugh." This boy is getting pn my nerves. Finally, we arrived at the place where the sound came from. Palm was right. Something definetley wasn't right here. "Hey, what are you doing to him???" Palm shouted at the thugs. "Little kids like you shouldn't interfer with other's buisness!" One of the men said. It looked like they were going to rob that poor man. Palm didn't even listen to what the man said. He just stormed straight forward to him. The man looked very angry. Actually, it was fun to watch. At least for me. "Don't mess with us!" The man said, as Palm landed his first hit on him. "Just leave him alone, and I wont mess with you!" The Man smirked. "Well, I guess you want it that way..." Then the guy behind Palm pulled out a knife. "Watch out Palm!" I shouted. That was an almost. It would be more fun if they didn't use any weapons. Palm landed another hit, first with his leg, then with his hand on the leader's guy's face. But then he hit Palm in the stomach. "Ughh..." All the guys started laughing. "Haha, told you. Don't mess with us." Palm just kept lying on the ground and holding his stomach. He looked really angry. It wasn't fun to watch anymore, so I went up to the guys. "We'll come back. Pathetic." They said. I sat down to Palm. "Are you okay?" I asked him a little worried. "Krab, Khun Nueng. It doesn't hurt so much." He told me. But he looked like it hurt very much. "You don't have to play the hero, Palm. You've done enough." Suddenly, the old man came up to Palm. "Thank you. Without you, I wouldn't have any money now." He told him very egerly. Palm smiled. "It's no big deal." I laughed a little to myself. "Do you want to eat something?" The old man asked us. "As a thanks." I looked at Palm, and he looked at me. Then I nodded to the man. "Yes, that's be very nice." The man nodded and went to make us some food. As he got back, I noticed I was actually hungry. I think Palm was too, espacially after the fight. He also must be a little tired. "It's very delicious." Palm said to me. I smacked his forehead. "Don't tell me, tell him!" I lectured Palm. "Ow!" I nodded in the man's direction. "It's very delicious, Phi!" "Yes, Phi!" I added. The man smiled. "Thank you! I hope you enjoy." Then we ate in silence. "Phi, we have to go now." I called. "Alright, I hope you come back!" "We will!" Palm said. "Come on Palm. It's already very dark." Palm looked a little concerned. "Oh no, my dad won't be happy." I looked at Palm and pulled one eyebrow up. "It's gonna be okay. I will tell him I got us in difficulties." Palm looked at me in shock. "Khun Nueng, you can't do that!" I rolled my eyes, once again. "It's no big deal."
"I'm so tired." Palm said. "Come sleep in my room." I suddenly said. "What??" I grinned. "But Khun Nueng, my dad won't allow me to do that!" "My room is so big. It feels a little lonely. I'll tell your dad that I allowed you. Now come." Palm actually packed his things and moved to my room. Even though he didn't like the idea. He now sleeps on the lower bunk bed and I'm still sleeping on the top bunk bed.
That night, I had nightmares of my dad. I dreamed he was here but died. I mean, that really happened, but... It was terrible. I woke up, sweat a lot and was very shocked. Shit, I couldn't fall asleep again. Palm won't take it in a weird way, right...? "Palm." I whispered. "What is it, Khun Nueng?" The answer came right away. Why didn't he sleep? "You're awake?" Palm sighed. "Yes, Khun Nueng." I rolled my eyes. "Don't freaking call me that. I already told you multiple times to call me Nueng!" I whispered in an annoyed tone. "I can't do that, Khun Nueng." I sighed too. "Yes, you can. Your dad doesn't have to know everything." Palm just sighed again as an answer. Annoyed, I climbed down the ladder. "What are you doing? You should sleep krab." Palm told me. "Well, I can't." Then I pulled my head under the top bunk bed. Palm just looked at me. Dang, I wonder if he's ever done something romantic. Wait, he kissed me. Oh well yeah. It was actually... the best kiss I've ever had. I'm saying, ever had. There might be coming better!!! I randomly crawled on Palm's mattres. "What are you looking at?" I hushed. "What are you doing?" Palm asked again. "Sleeping here. Or what does it look like?" Palm looked away. "Uh, nothing. Just sleep now, Khun Nueng." LOL he's actually shy. "I closed my eyes and put my head on Palm's chest. He has broad shoulders. He must've been working out a lot. I like it. More like my type. Nevermind, I'm sleeping. Yep. I definetley won't think about Palm. It's just... it's quite comfortable.
