-"Palm!"
No answer.
-"Palm??"
I entered the sleeping room, which was the biggest room in here. It was combined with a workspace. There was a small bathroom and the kitchen.
Oh, he's sleeping.
He looks so innocent and peacful while sleeping. Have I already said that? It's already pretty late in the evening, so I should go to sleep soon because I have work tomorrow. But I wasn't so tired yet. So I just lay down next to Palm, watching him breathe. At some point, I actually fell asleep.

We decided to go visit his dad today. Another thing is, we decided not to worry too much anout Kit. I'll talk to Chopper. Maybe he will actually do something this time. I've been digging about Kit, hopeful it'll be worth it.
Today was the day Palm's dad should get bailed out. The entire way to the police station, Palm stayed quiet. I noticed his hands were trambling, so I took one of them.
-"Are you nervous, Palm?"
I asked.
-"Krub, Khun Nueng. But it will be okay, because you're here."
As we arrived, I was thinking about what I should say to his father. But maybe Palm would want to speak to him first. Or should I even talk to him? I looked at Palm.
-"I'm going to get him."
I nodded and watched him leave.

When they came back, about 10 minutes later, something seemed different. In a positive way. We went home, his dad thanked me a million times. It really wasn't that big of a deal.

My mother still didn't wake up. But the doctors said, it'll probably only be a few days or weeks until she does.

I told Palm we have to tell each other everything, but this is something I have to do alone. For my mother's and his sake.
I don't want Palm to worry too much. I had Chopper's house different in mind. The cars too. I rang the bell at the door.
-"Is Chopper here?"
I asked the butler who opened the door for me.
-"Oh, hello Master Nuengdiao. He is currently out, but he will be back shortly. Why don't you come in and wait?"
..."Come in and wait?"
Can I trust that? Well, I guess it won't hurt.
-"Yeah, sure. When will he be back?"
The butler gave me an answer directly.
-"In about 20 minutes."
I nodded and just stepped inside. I saw uncle Kit's face first.
-"Ah hello, my dear nephew. We get to meet again."
I tried not to look at his face.
-"I'm not here because of you."
I just told him.
-"Oh, what a pity. Well, it's actually a good oportunity for us to have a brief talk ."
I definetley don't want to talk.
-"What about?"
Then I looked at his face. Kit smiled and patted on a wooden chair next to him.
-"Come sit."
So I did.
-"Give him some water."
I flinched.
-"No need."
Kit had this unpleased look on his face for a second.
-"Still."
I just nodded and let the butler give me a glass of water. If I think about it, I am indeed a little thirsty. So I took a sip. Another one.
-"Anyways. About your mother. Is she dead?"
I gazed in space.
-"No. She'll wake up soon."
That seemed to be news for Kit.
-"Oh? Well I guess that must be a relieve for you."
He took a sip of his alcohol.
-"Yeah."
Somehow, I feel a little dizzy. That's when I realized.
-"You!!"
I heard him laughing.
-"You were careless. Too careless. Let's see if Palm can save you this time."
Palm..??
Then I felt a hit from behind.
