It's been two days since my mother was intruded by those people. I've been wondering if it was the first time they've come or if they had been watching her for quite some time. As I woke up early in the morning, I went to find her to ask her if I could help.
-"Mum!" I called for her.
I called a few times. Nobody answered. She couldn't still be sleeping, because she opens her shop at 6 in the morning. Suddenly, I saw a note on one of the tables outside. It said "if you want her back, come and give me 1,000,000฿". At first, I thought it was a joke. But then, I saw the person's signature. It wasn't a joke. I rushed to wake up Khun Nueng.

He was shocked when he heard what happened. The whole time, he was murring swear words while we sat at the table.
-"That sh¡thole. I knew he was gonna be a problem sooner or later."
Concerned, I looked at him.
-"What should we do?"
My voice almost broke. I'm maybe about to lose my father and now my mother too?
-"We have to make a plan."
He just told me.
-"Plans aren't gonna help! Who knows what they are doing to her?"
His uncle's gang. I could vomit when I hear his name. His cousin, Chopper is going to the same school as us. Sometimes, it makes me curious how they are holding up in school.
-"Well, what if something happens to one of us? What to do then?" Khun Nueng looked me in the eyes, his eyes almost the colour of flames.
Anger.
-"I don't know either. Fine. We make a plan."
He and I talked about who should go, where they may be located.
-"I'm gonna go." Khun Nueng stated.
I could hit the wall.
-"What? No. That's too dangerous. I'll go with you."
He lowered his voice to an almost dangerous tone.
-"Yeah, and if you go too they'll get both of us."
-"Are you gonna be okay?"
-"If I can't do this, how am I supposed to follow my father's shoes? How can I lead the damn buisness if I even can't pull this?"
He stared into my soul, his gaze lost.
-"Do you not trust me?"
Khun Nueng's voice went higher. Immediatley I hugged him. I could feel he was a little surprised, but still, he hugged me back.
-"Of course I trust you. I just don't want you to get hurt."
I whispered into his clothes. He pat my back.
-"I'm gonna go, then."
I didn't say anything, just watched him leave.

I must admit, I am a little anxious about this. I'm doing this for Palm, his mother, and the buisness. On the way through the alley, I thought about what I was gonna say to him. My uncle. Yeah, he always was a sh¡thead. I know he wants to lead the main business, I know he doesn't treat his own son well. But the fact that Chopper helps him, makes me unsure if he's trustworthy. I arrived at the bank. People are gonna find us sooner or later anyway, I thought. To be honest, I really love Palm's mother. She reminds me of my own. But when is she gonna wake up? I guess I'm gonna be waiting. I took out the money of the account. Bloody hell, that's a lot of money.

Confident, I walked in. Then I threw the bag with the money on the table, where he sat at. The bag hit the table so hard, money flew out of it.
-"Look, who came. I didn't excpect to see you here." He chuckled.
I grinned, my eyes full of anger. I spotted Mam, Palm's mother somewhere in the corner of the room, tied up on a chair.
-"Well, here I am. Let her go."
He gave the bag a suspicious look. Then he lifted it, in his eyes I could still see that he's doubting it.
-"Every single penny?" My uncle asked.
-"Count if you want to. I have time."
He swallowed extra loud.
-"Fine. I believe you."

Anxious, I walked up and down in front of the gate. I've already seen lots of people passing by, but none of them were those who I was looking for. I was just about to go see for myself what's happened, but at that moment, the gate opened again.
-"Finally!"
I couldn't hide my happiness.
My mother, beat up in the face, and my boyfriend, without any scars, entered. I didn't know which one to hug first.
-"Mum!"
I called out, rushing to her. Then I held up her hands.
-"Are you okay??"
I could see she's been worried too.
-"Don't worry about me. I'm fine. They did nothing to me."
Then we hugged.
She turned to Khun Nueng.
-"Ah, uhm... I don't know how to thank you for this. I'm so grateful."
She looked down at her feet.
-"Listen, I don't think I can pay you back anytime soon, but when I can, I will."
Khun chuckled and smiled.
-"You don't have to pay me back. It's no problem."
She smiled back at him.
-"Yeah, okay. But still."
Mum held up her finger at him.
-"Listen, I'm gonna go wash up."
We both just nodded and she went to her room.
Then I hugged him.
-"You're back. You're okay."
-"Yeah."
He whispered back.
