You're a university art major and the final exam was coming up. All the students were tasked to paint on a hug 36x48 blank canvas. The theme was charm, anything anyone found charming. All the works were going to be out on display at the university for the student body to vote on. The deadline was one month away. You were excited about the project but after a while you couldn't figure out what to paint.

Days and nights you spent trying to find an idea, coming up with all things you found charm in but nothing felt right. The ideas you did start painting ultimately ended up being scrapped because you weren't proud of what you were creating. You had at least four layers of white paint coating the canvas after each busted idea since you only had the money for one canvas; needing to save your money for the expensive oil paints you needed to use.

With three weeks left you were stressing out over your final project. Your friends were beginning to worry about you. Even they started their art projects already while you were stuck on an artist's block. For the last couple weeks after classes you went straight home and locked yourself in your apartment to try and come up with something that fit the professor's set theme.

So tonight your friends practically dragged you out of your apartment and took you to a concert being held outside in the university's courtyard. A huge stage was set up with multiple bands and soloists playing throughout the evening. It was apparently the music department's final exam to perform an original song on stage. A fundraiser was going on as well, with food stands set up around the perimeter of the courtyard to raise money for the music department. Where there's food, there's alcohol.

Your friends grabbed beers for all of you to drink while you enjoyed the bands playing. The music in the background only sounded like loud noise to you while your mind raced, continuing to try and come up with the perfect idea for your canvas. This final exam was important for your grades and your portfolio. While you were wrapped up in your head your friend Sua nudged your arm to break you out of your thoughts.

An announcer was talking and you could vaguely make out what they were saying, introducing the next performer to the stage. Your eyes landed on Sua and she grabbed your hand, tugging you along behind your other friends that were maneuvering their way through the crowd all the way to the front of the stage. You were dreading being so close to the speakers because you knew it was going to be loud and you wouldn't be able to think clearly.

"Just enjoy yourself tonight, stop thinking about the final exam for a little while." Sua said to you as the two of you made it halfway through the crowd.

Then music started playing over the speakers. The sound of sudden classical music rang through your ears. It had a mystical resonance to it for a moment before it turned dark, then drums and guitars began playing; along with a remarkable voice piercing your ears. When you finally made it to the edge of the stage your eyes landed on the man singing.

There was a band behind him but he also had a deep red guitar hanging on his shoulder. His hands were gripping a red microphone on a stand in front of him. The singer had on a white button-up tucked into black pants, his black hair looked purposely shaggy and hung in his face. You only caught glimpses of his whole face when he tilted his head back when he wasn't singing.

He had a dazzling aura to him. His voice was alluring and his stage presence was amazing, the way his body swayed to the music and especially how powerful his guitar solo was. Even the lyrics to his song were incredible; sung with so much passion and emotion that it rang through your body. You were mesmerized the moment you laid eyes on the singer. You didn't even realize you stopped thinking about your art project.

The singer just had so much...charm.

Sua noticed your eyes twinkling as you stared up at the stage and she smiled to herself. She knew that look. Sua has known you for a long time and she could recognize the specific look on your face when you were filled with inspiration. And even though she told you to stop worrying about your project for the evening she knew you finally had what you needed tonight.
