Woozi: going seventeen

The last thing on today's schedule was the filming of a Going Seventeen episode and most the members were excited for it. The content for the episode was solely based around the infamous brainwave cat ears. The members were eager to put on the ears and get tested on their true emotions. There was just one game lined up that had multiple rounds, enough chances for every member to take a turn with the ears on. The Seventeen members were visibly hyped for today's show, minus Jihoon.

The ears showed four different emotions. When the ears are down it meant the person is relaxed. If the ears are up but not pointing forward it meant the person is normal. If the ears are pointing forward it means that person is focused or alert, and finally if the ears oscillate that meant the person is both focused and relaxed.

And with all of Seventeen now debriefed on how the neuro-wave ears worked the director went on to explain the game and the rules that follow. Similar to when they did Insomnia, one member wears the ears while the other members try to say words or phrases that will get the solo member to react neurologically. Whichever member(s) manage to last longer than 60 seconds wins a prize. And the prize is usually something silly like random TV remotes or weird-shaped plushies.

Since none of the members had other obligations today they were free to take their time and enjoy themselves. Only one round needed to be filmed, along with their greetings and other random commentary to add in post. Otherwise the guys were allowed to continue playing with the cat ears for however long they wanted.

As the camera rolled the members took their turns wearing the neuro-wave ears for the first time. Half the group had already lost well before their 60 seconds was up, especially the louder members of the group. Wonwoo was the first to make it to a minute, winning a plushie that looked like a piece of bacon. Junhui and Jeonghan won as well, their prizes consisted of a "get well soon" balloon and a dog's squeaky toy.

The very last person to go up was Jihoon. Obviously he didn't seem too thrilled putting the ears on, often being compared to cats by Carats online. Even you thought he resembled a cat with the ears on, thinking he looked incredibly cute with his pouty face and all. You couldn't help but fall for him a little more.

Everyone thought Jihoon was going to win since he's known to keep his cool. As one of Seventeen's managers you're well aware of which idols are good at staying calm and collected and Jihoon was definitely the best at it. You've witnessed Soonyoung harass him relentlessly many times and how Jihoon rarely reacted. So because of Jihoon's normal demeanor the rest of Seventeen took it upon themselves to create their own challenge to see who could get the vocal leader to crack first.

It was pure chaos hearing 12 guys yell out random, absurd words at Jihoon. His cat ears were perpetually down and relaxed with a flat expression on his face the entire time. Nothing seemed to work and the 60 seconds was almost up. At least until Seungcheol had an idea.

He didn't shout anything like he had previously. This time was different and you wondered why. You watched from behind the camera as the leader of the group stepped up to Jihoon with a devious smirk on his face. Jihoon looked quizzically over at Seungcheol as he dramatically cleared his throat, a fist raised to his mouth, then he whispered something to the younger's ear.

Jihoon's cat ears instantly began oscillating while he kept a straight face. The entire room coo'd and gasped at Jihoon's reaction, including you and the other staff members behind the cameras. The members were also cheering on their leader for making Jihoon lose five seconds before the minute was up. It wasn't until Jihoon's eyes met yours that his facial expression changed.

The brief eye contact with you was enough for him to blush uncontrollably and cover his face with his hands. You couldn't help but to feel shy even though you had no idea what was going on. You giggled watching Jihoon slowly swivel the chair he was sitting in until his back was facing the cameras.
