Almost a week has passed since your awkward public confession to Chan and you've missed three days of classes. The day after you confessed you took yourself to the hospital to get a check-up. It turned out that your nosebleed really was from stress, and dehydration, so the doctor gave you an IV drip to get you hydrated then sent you home with orders to relax for a couple days. That gave you the perfect opportunity to avoid Chan.

To your surprise Chan texted you every single day even though you never responded to him. He could tell you read his messages but continued to blow up your phone in an attempt to reach you, to clear the air between the two of you. It started off with him telling you the day after the confession that he needed to talk to you. Then when he found out you didn't show up for classes he messaged you asking where you were.

At first Chan thought you were skipping classes just because of him. It wasn't until he heard from Seungkwan that a doctor told you to rest. Chan voiced his concerns for you once again, messaging to see if you were okay. You continued to open his messages and purposely not reply. Even on the day you returned to school you disregarded Chan's texts.

On your first day back you almost immediately ran into Chan on campus. Luckily he didn't realize it was you with how quickly you ducked and avoided him and his friends. You even attempted to avoid Seungkwan that day but seeing as he's your best friend it was nearly impossible. You made him swear not to tell Chan you were back at school.

Seungkwan looked unfazed when you finally told him what happened that night at the bar. Your eyebrows scrunched when you asked why he didn't act surprised by your sudden information dump. That's when he filled you in on what happened after you left that night.

<Flashback to the bar>

"Yn, I'm sorry-"

Before Chan could spout out another word you pathetically ran away. Chan stood in silence watching the back of your head grow farther away. He wanted to chase after you but his body was frozen, the words you said echoing in his mind. He still couldn't believe that you liked him since never noticed before.

When Chan reentered the bar he looked like all the energy was sucked out of him. Instead of joining his friends he originally arrived at the bar with he headed to where Seungkwan was sitting and plopped down on a bar stool next to him. He let out a heavy sigh when Seungkwan looked over at him. Seungkwan was already starting to put two and two together after watching Chan follow you outside earlier.

"Need a drink?" He asked Chan.

Chan nodded and Seungkwan ordered two shots; the men immediately threw back the alcohol the moment the bartender put the glasses down. Chan slammed the shot glass on the glossy wooden bar and groaned at the bitter taste going down his throat.

"So..." Chan cleared his throat, "yn just confessed to me."

One of Seungkwan's eyebrows raised but his facial expression didn't change. Chan glanced over at his friend and was confused by Seungkwan's reaction. It definitely wasn't a look he was expecting to see. Then it dawned on him.

"Did you know she liked me?"

He hesitated for a second before ultimately nodding.

"She's liked you a long time."

Chan's jaw dropped open. He really was completely unaware you liked him. Chan slammed his forehead against the bar and groaned, startling Seungkwan. He pitifully patted Chan's back to comfort him.

"Ugh...what do I do now?" He defeatedly groaned.

"Just talk to her."

By this point you've been back to school for two days and Chan still wasn't aware you were on campus, though he still texted you every day to try to get you to talk to him.  Seungkwan would tell you every chance he could to stop avoiding Chan but you were too ashamed to talk to him, let alone even look at him anymore. You knew he was about to reject you by the expression on his face that night so you didn't want, nor need, to hear the words leave his mouth. It would only open your wounds that have just barely begun to close.
