Joshua: chapstick

You're always wearing chapstick. You go through a stick of lip balm once a month, breaking out a brand new flavor each month. Whenever you notice your lips are bare you instantly put chapstick on. You don't think anything of it but your friends point out when you have a brand new tube of chapstick out in class. They joke about it, saying "oh it's been a month already!"

In your mind there's nothing wrong with it. You hate having chapped lips and you enjoy the sensation of lip balm on your lips. But little did you know your crush also notices your chapstick usage. Joshua Hong is your crush and he has no idea you like him. Yet he secretly watches you during class because he likes you too. He has it memorized that you put lip balm on every hour but when you're anxious you rub your lips together and end up having to put more chapstick on. And he notices every time you use a new lip balm tube.

Sometimes when no one else is in the classroom he walks up to your desk and picks up your chapstick. He reads the flavor and keeps a mental note of it. He's noticed you switch up flavors every month. Sometimes you use spearmint, vanilla, pear, cherry, and honey. And this month you're using vanilla sugar cookie. Joshua longs to smell and taste your chapstick but knows how creepy that might seem.

One day during summer vacation your friends invited you out to karaoke. They mentioned one of their brothers is going and is bringing his guy friends too. Your friends were excited to go just to flirt with cute boys while you were anxious at the idea. But you ended up agreeing to go anyways.

By the time you and your friends arrived at the karaoke place the guys we were meeting there were already waiting in the karaoke booth. Anxiety spread through you, not knowing who was on the other side of the door. Your friends swung the door open and all greeted the guys sitting down. Everyone said hi to each other before you ever entered the room. To your amazement you saw Joshua sitting amongst the guys your friend's brother brought with him.

Your eyes briefly met Joshua's and you shyly looked away. You ended up sitting next to a guy from a different class at your school named Seungcheol. He was also sitting way too close to you. He was really boisterous too, and without warning he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you in closer to him.

You started internally freaking out because he was a stranger to you and was acting way too friendly with you. Joshua noticed how uncomfortable you were and started getting antsy in his seat. Josh noticed you put on lip balm as a coping mechanism and it bothered him. Luckily the guy next to you didn't hold onto you long as he interacted with his friends. Joshua settled down a little but could tell you were still anxious just sitting next to the guy.

By the time a couple songs were sung the guy next to you still hadn't scooted away from you, his thigh was against yours. At this point you've put on lip balm so many times from rubbing your lips together. You were finally at your limit and made up an excuse to get some fresh air. You stepped outside and took in a deep breath, putting on one more coat of chapstick.

"Hey, are you okay?" Joshua asked, startling you.

He touched your shoulder, making you involuntary flinch. Realizing it was your crush you relaxed a little bit. You sighed and nodded.

"Y-yeah I'm okay."

You were wondering why Joshua followed you outside but didn't think too far into it. Suddenly Joshua heard Seungcheol and another guy named Vernon step outside. Without thinking, Josh grabbed your wrist and rushed the two of you to the alley next to the karaoke bar. You both heard familiar voices closing in and you started to breathe heavily from anxiety. Joshua knew his friends were outside to smoke cigarettes.

Josh noticed you having a panic attack right away. He pulled the hood to his hoodie over his head and pushed your back against a brick wall, standing over you. His arms were on either side of your head, his face was only an inch away from yours. You could feel his warm breath against your skin, making your heart race drastically.

The voices were growing louder. You could hear them calling out Joshua's name as they looked for him to join them. He glanced over at the entrance to the alleyway then back at you. Your eyes met his and your cheeks instantly filled with blood. Joshua's did the same. Just as the voices were nearing the Josh asked you something you were never expecting.

"May I kiss you?"

The look in Josh's eyes was one of longing. The words that left his mouth made your heart skip a beat. You were in shock, unable to let words come out. He raised his eyebrows and leaned a little bit closer as if silently asking again. You slowly nodded and that was all he needed.

Joshua's warm lips pressed into yours, a wave of electricity sent through both of your bodies. You wanted to kiss him for as long as Joshua wanted to kiss you, neither of you knew it though. Instead of just one kiss like you expected it to be Joshua pulled away just long enough to look you in the eyes once more. His eyelids looked heavy and his cheeks were bright red now. All Josh could think about was the flavor of your chapstick. It was just as delicious as your kiss.

The look in Joshua's eyes made something snap inside you. You cupped his cheeks and pulled his face back into yours. Your lips locked once again, trading open-mouthed kisses. The voices that were growing closer seemed to disappear.

Both of your worlds now revolved around each other and nothing else. As the two of you continued to make out your arms wrapped around Joshua's neck while his hands gripped your hips, pulling your body even closer to his. He was enjoying the taste of your lip balm and your sloppy, wet kisses. The taste of your sugar cookie lip balm was almost as intoxicating as your kisses.

Joshua managed to pull away for a moment to look you in the eyes again. Both of your faces were bright red and your eyes drunk in ecstasy. All you wanted to do was keep kissing your crush now that the two of you crossed that barrier. Joshua looked even more attractive right now.

"I've wanted to do this for so long." Joshua said in a quiet tone.

He pushed his hips against yours. Your heart felt like it was about to burst. You swallowed back the pool of saliva that quickly filled your mouth. Your arms moved from his neck to his chest. You didn't realize how toned Josh's body was until you felt it firsthand.

"Me too." You panted.

Joshua's eyes widened and a devious smile appeared on his pretty face. You loved the way his lips curled upward. Before you could think about anything else Josh kissed you again, this time using his tongue. He made out with you so passionately that it made your body tremble. Joshua wanted more, and so did you. But the moment was soon ruined when you heard one of your friends calling out your name.

You gasped and pushed Josh away from you. Within seconds after that you friend appeared at the opening of the alleyway. She squinted in your direction to see if you were down there. When she saw you with Joshua she looked surprised. She was aware of your crush on him so she waved and left.

"I guess we should head back." You said defeatedly.

"We can always finish this later." Joshua said in a sexy tone.

Your eyes widened and you blushed uncontrollably. Even though you were feeling shy all over again you nodded and agreed. Now all you and Joshua could think about during karaoke was the anticipation of making out with each other later.
