The air was still never cleared between you and Seokmin. After you sprinted away from him the second night at the beach house you completely ignored his presence the rest of the trip. Even in the close quarters of the van after leaving the beach you purposely sat far away from Seokmin and only stared out the window on the three-hour drive back. Your best friend sat in the front passenger seat next to Wonwoo while you sat in the very back of the van next to Minyoung and Jisoo who both slept the entire time.

Shortly after the beach trip the new semester started. In the group chat everybody discussed what classes they wanted to take which led to a long debate about who was going to take what curriculars. Since you and your friends are split into two different departments it was difficult to get into the same classes; so everyone ultimately settled for matching hours between classes to eat or study together. Minyoung had a great idea and mentioned that everyone should join the same club so we could all spend more time with each other.

The first week back on campus was beyond stressful. It turned out you had a couple classes with Seokmin this time. Normally you would've been ecstatic over sharing a class with your best friend but now that things were weird between the two of you you weren't exactly excited over the thought. Not to mention you didn't know if you even had it in you to ignore him much longer, desperately wanting to talk to Seokmin again.

It's already been a while since you realized your feelings for Seokmin. And for weeks now even your friends have noticed you and Seokmin acting differently around each other. Last semester he was constantly around you harassing you as he always did, but this semester he's acted like a complete stranger to you and you were doing the same to him. Seokmin hasn't talked to you, he hasn't randomly hugged you or touched your face, he hasn't done anything to you that he thought would make you uncomfortable.

People began asking if the two of you had a fight or falling out to which Seokmin would deny and say he treats all his friends that way. Which was true but everyone else knew he always treated you differently, which made everyone even more skeptical of Seokmin's sudden change in demeanor toward you.

It would be a lie to say your heart didn't ache hearing Seokmin say he treats you like he treats everyone else. It was apparent you grew accustomed to your best friend giving you special treatment and now that he wasn't doing it anymore your life felt incomplete. The more you liked Seokmin the more you thought you needed to avoid him to get over your feelings.

Within the first week of the new semester the group finally decided on a club to join. Oddly enough it ended up being a unanimous vote for the photography club. And of course it seemed like everyone in the club already knew who your best friends were. Minyoung and the guys were greeted by name by many of the students in the club room with hugs and hand shakes happening all around you, making you feel small and closed off.

You kept to yourself during the first club meeting. The captain of the club introduced you and the rest of your friends to everyone that was already a part of the club, then went on to explain the outs and ins of what the club does. When the meeting ended everyone was invited out to the local pub to mingle and get to know each other more. You wanted to go home right away because you felt out of place.

Not to mention Seokmin wasn't going to be there either. He rushed out of the club room saying something came up. When Jisoo asked what was going on Seokmin made up an excuse, saying he had a group project that was due tomorrow. But you knew that was a lie. You knew Seokmin was avoiding you just as much as you were avoiding him.

Right when you thought you were safe to leave without being spotted Minyoung managed to literally drag you along with her, her arm hooked around yours. At the pub Minyoung purposely sandwiched you between her and Chan so that you couldn't escape. Everyone at the table was already having a good time, so eventually you thought why not try to enjoy yourself too. And that's what you did.
