Everyone in South Korea knows about the Jeon Law Firm and its famous CEO. His name is Jeon Wonwoo and he is the youngest CEO in SK's law firm industry. All of the attorneys in his company work with many high-class clients, including celebrities and politicians. It's any attorney's dream to work at Jeon Law.

Even you wanted to work there. Actually, you were hired. But not as an attorney like you wanted. You spent so many years in law school and finally passed the bar exam only to become a secretary. And somehow you ended up being Jeon Wonwoo's secretary at that.

Your job consisted of more or less following the CEO around like a dog. You fetched him coffee, you watered the plants in his office, you filed his paperwork, you made calls and appointments, and you even occasionally had to forge his signature while he was out of the office; only when he told you to. Just about everywhere Jeon Wonwoo went in the building you were right behind him and when he had business outside of the company you stayed in his office taking calls and organizing the CEO's schedule. After working for Mr. Jeon for a year you've become used to your boss's attitude and workload.

Since Jeon Wonwoo was the youngest CEO of a law firm he had to go above and beyond to keep up with his image. Which meant that made your job extra difficult and tedious. You also had to keep up your boss's image by always being on time, cordial yet stern, well-informed and most importantly you had to look professional. The moment your outfit, hair or makeup look remotely out of place Mr. Jeon is quick to bark at you about it.

And you hated when he bitched at you about your appearance. You do your best at your job but the moment one minor detail is missed your boss is up your ass about it. There's only two reasons why you don't just quit your job even though you think about it all the time. One, because you get to brag about working at the best law firm in the country, and two, your salary is unmatched anywhere else. So you're pretty much stuck where you're at.

One day you're doing what you normally do; following your boss around with a clipboard in your hands, heading back up to Jeon Wonwoo's office that's on the top floor of the building. The two of you entered the elevator with a couple other attorneys. Mr. Jeon wasn't a scary CEO like some would think. He's very friendly with everyone that works for him so the attorneys chatted with your boss freely.

But as soon as they exited the elevator the atmosphere changed drastically. You didn't understand why Jeon Wonwoo was so cold to you when you're the closest person he works with. The moment the attorneys left the elevator your boss was completely silent, standing still and looking straight ahead at the closed metal doors. The elevator ride felt much longer than usual with how quiet it was.

It was so quiet that you could hear the motor of the elevator, followed by soft clunking sounds. You didn't give it much thought, thinking that the elevator probably always made that noise and you're just now realizing it. But the sounds grew louder and even Mr. Jeon noticed it. He shifted his feet and looked around at the ceiling with a strange expression on his face.

Wonwoo looked concerned with how the elevator was sounding. Just as he went to press the call button to get a hold of the front desk the elevator started shaking violently, the sound of metal scraping against metal was loud and ear-splitting. Both you and your boss held the railing until the elevator finally stopped. With a loud bang the elevator abruptly paused. You were hoping you were at the top floor finally but didn't end up being the case.

The elevator stopped working halfway up the building and now you were stuck in there with your boss. Mr. Jeon finally hit the emergency button to let the front desk know what was going on and they immediately alerted emergency services. The woman at the front desk said it was going to take at least an hour for them to get you both out. Wonwoo let out a shaky sigh and acknowledged the woman before she hung up the com.
