You've always been drawn to the piano ever since you were a child. The main reason was your mother. She was a music professor at a famous university when you were younger. But she tragically fell ill and passed away years ago. So every time you play the piano you're filled with mixed emotions of happiness and sadness, depending on the day.

After school lets out for the day you head straight to the music room just as you've done every day since starting your junior year of high school. You find yourself playing the piano for at least an hour each day, sometimes more until staff more or less kicks you out. You try to stay as long as possible only because when you go home you arrive to a quiet, empty house. You're constantly reminded of the memories of your mother, the only person in your life that made you feel truly loved.

Your father is a business man and is almost never home. His idea of love is sending you money and buying you unnecessary things, when all you really want from him is just love and attention. In your lonely world the only thing that keeps you company is the piano. So when you're at home you're usually glued to your mother's black piano in the study room of your house.

At school you have a couple friends that you talk to but you can't seem to open up to them. They invite you to hangout on the weekends though you only join them sometimes. You're usually just too depressed to go anywhere. Luckily your friends don't pry too much and leave you be when you want to be left alone, but they always remind you that they're there for you when you're ready. But even with a few friends you still feel lonely.

One day you're in the music room after school playing the piano. Since the music room is at the end of the hall on the second floor there's almost never traffic in the halls so you get to play in peace. Except for today. As you were playing the door to the room suddenly slammed open behind you, making your entire body jump.

Your eyes landed on none other than Kwon Soonyoung, one of your classmates. Also known as the troublemaker of your grade. He was standing in the doorway panting, his eyes darting around the room rapidly. You always avoided looking at Soonyoung in class but now you were forced to stare at him.

Soonyoung was known for many rumors in school, like picking random fights with people and for leading girls on with his good looks. It wasn't a lie that he was handsome though, because he certainly is. His hair was short and black with a shaved undercut, his fringe cut just above his cleanly shaped eyebrows.

His eyes were dark and cat-like, his skin looked clear and nearly flawless; minus his bloodied lip and faint bruise on his cheek. Both of his earlobes were pierced and had small silver hoops hanging from them. Soonyoung even has a slit in his right eyebrow. He wore his uniform messily, leaving the button-up undone and never wears a tie, really wrapping up his thug-like appearance.

"Hide me." Soonyoung said, closing the door behind him and running over to you.

He quickly hid to the right of the piano you were sitting at. You blinked rapidly, absolutely confused at what was going on. Soonyoung looked up at you with his head resting against the side of piano.

"I'm not here." He whispered with his index finger pressed to his full lips.

The door slammed open once again, this time there were two guys standing in the doorway that were obviously out of breath. They glanced around the room then their eyes landed on you. You were nervous and slightly terrified. One guy had a black eye while the other had a busted lip and a bloody nose.

"Did anyone come in here?" One of the guys asked in a pant.

You anxiously shook your head.

"He probably dipped off campus. Let's go." The other boy grabbed his friend's shoulder and the two left, closing the door behind them.
