"Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart."
─ ⊹ ⊱ ☆ ⊰ ⊹ ─
Porchay Kittisawat is a famous figure skater and one of the most skilled on his team. He is a rising star, and his name is about to be known by every man and woman in Thailand. Every child aspires to be like him; they look up to him and wish to be like him one day. His juniors were inspired by him, hoping they could have his great skills.
He is training non-stop to achieve his goal. He was about to start today's training when a crowd of people blocked his entrance to the skating rink, "Why are you all crowded in here? Aren't you supposed to be training by now?" Chay said as he tried to squeeze into the crowd of his fellow skaters. The moment he was in front, he let out an exasperated sigh when he saw who was in the rink.
"Phi, the hockey team is already here before us." one of his juniors said.
Chay crossed his arms. "Yeah, I could see that," he replied bitterly. Chay watched as he searched for the hockey team's captain, his eyes shooting daggers into every member he could lay his eyes on. The protective gears on their heads failed him to see their faces. Unfortunately for him, he knew who the captain was even without seeing his face. Despite the danger, Chay bravely stepped inside the rink and screamed, "Theerapanyakul!"
The team stopped their play and looked at him. He could feel every single eye on him, but his attention was only on the player with number 8 on his jersey who quickly came up to him, "Sweet Porchay." the man said and he removed his headgear. Chay could feel his breath hitch the moment he saw his face, but he didn't show it. He could hear his heart beating loudly against his chest and he could almost hear it in his ears. The captain slyly smiled at him, "What can I do for you, baby?" he asked.
Chay irritatingly huffed and rolled his eyes—trying to show that he was unfazed by what the captain called him, "Why are you using the rink, Kimhan?" he asked.
Kimhan looked around him, seeing his team had also huddled around him, "To train?" he answered like Chay just asked one of the stupidest questions ever asked.
"Oh, yeah? Well, our coach has the rink reserved for our training session today. We have proof of it, so get your team out of the rink now." he said.
Kimhan tilted his head to the side, "Odd because we also have the rink reserved, that's why we are here. We have two hours more before we end." he answered almost mockingly. "There must be a mistake on the administration's end," he added, shrugging his shoulders.
Chay is not having it. Not now. Not today. Not ever. He has an upcoming match next week and he can't miss even a single hour of training. Fuming, Chay shouted, "Get your ass off my rink, Theerapanyakul!" Chay's voice was echoing throughout the area.
Teasing and whispers came from both sides. Perhaps it was known how Chay hated Kimhan and his conceited attitude. This argument between the skaters and the hockey players often happens, especially when it comes to using the skating rink. They always argue about who comes first and who deserves to use the rink more. After all, the place was extremely useful for both teams.
Kimhan Theerapanyakul is the hockey team's star player and captain. He is also Chay's most hated person. He has a reputation for being a rough player on the rink. Despite his roughness, he is an excellent and reliable player. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be the captain of the squad.
Off the rink, Kimhan is a heart player in addition to being a fantastic player. Chay knows since he once fell into his spell. Stupid, he knows. They only dated for a year. Still, a lot of things happened within that year. Chay won't deny it was the happiest year of his life, but it was also the most painful one. Now, Chay is trying to forget everything. But how could he do that when he sees Kimhan every time he spends his day on the rink, which is almost every single day? Well, that actually explains the hatred Chay had for Kimhan.
