Chay only lets Kim out for one night—one damn night. Yet, he came back home tipsy and bloody. A drunk Kim wasn't what he was expecting that night.

Porchay is having a peaceful night alone in their apartment. He is studying for his upcoming final exam next week. White noise plays in the background as he writes notes in his notebook. Out of the blue, one of their cats, Sunshine, jumped onto his desk and made him jolt in surprise.

"Sunshine," Chay sighed as he scratched his head. "Don't tell me you want some attention again. I gave you a lot like half an hour ago," he added, and glanced at the clock ticking on the wall. "Oh my god, it's almost 3 AM already?" he yelped. No wonder the cat was seeking attention. He hasn't given them any attention for the whole night. He lost track of time, he thought only half an hour had passed. Damn. He was too engrossed in studying.

Sunshine meowed to get his attention. "Sorry, Sunshine," he apologized and gave the cat a quick pet before placing the poor orange cat on the floor. Then, a shiny black cat entered the bedroom and meowed at him loudly. Chay frowned at him, "Moonshine, if you're looking for Kim, I already told you. He won't be home 'til later. He was out with p'Khun and p'Kinn tonight," he said. However, thinking about it, it was really late now. Kim hadn't given him a call or a text, at least. It's impossible for him not to feel anxious.

Suddenly, both of their cats were meowing loudly at him—Sunshine, who was screaming for attention, and Moonshine, who was looking for Kim. Usually, the cats do their nightly zoomies at this time of night. Yet, here they are—seeking his attention. This tranquil night turned into a cacophony. Having extremely clingy cats was too much to handle. Not that he doesn't like it. Chay loves it! But he was so busy with school that he didn't give them more attention.

Even worse than that is his overly attached boyfriend. When Chay finds out Kim's brothers have asked him to go out with them, he encourages him to join them. Chay is not a strict partner. He still wants Kim to enjoy life. Though his boyfriend doesn't have any friends at all due to his mafia status, he still has his brothers, who want a bond with him. Kim was adamant, he claimed that he wanted to be with Chay. But the younger one persisted to the point that he had dragged his ass out of their apartment.

Besides, Chay wanted a night for himself—just one quiet night. He forgot that they have highly vocal and needy cats at home. The cats continue to meow hysterically at him. Chay exhaled a deep sigh and propped an elbow on his table to place his chin on his hand before speaking, "Every damn day, you guys are being more and more like Kim. Grumpy and clingy at the same time. I don't know if that's his influence on you or vice versa," he said.

Chay and the cats jumped up in surprise when they heard a door banging from the outside. Worry instantly washed over him as he ran out of the room. He almost stumbled on his feet as the cats crossed his path. Even in their dark apartment, he could see Kim stumbling his way in their apartment. Chay frowned when he noticed that Kim couldn't even stand straight.

"Kim? Babe?" he called out to him worriedly as he moved closer to him. Kim was struggling to remove his boots, throwing them on the floor as he did so. Chay held onto him and helped him to stand on his feet. "You scared me for a minute there. I thought someone barged in."

"Sorry... I'm sorry... I didn't... I didn't mean to scare my baby..." Kim said, his words slurring as he spoke. He peppered kisses along Chay's cheek and jaw while they staggered their way deeper into their apartment.

An unpleasant scent caught Chay's nose. "Are you drunk?" he asked with a frown. He wouldn't be surprised if Kim had a few shots of liquor, but it was odd to get him this drunk. His alcohol tolerance was extremely high, and he was rarely, like really rarely, drunk—especially not this drunk. It was a miracle he managed to get home by himself.
