Lexie Grey couldn't help but feel an undeniable attraction towards y/n. Their calm and non-flirtatious demeanor only fueled her desire to crack through their composed facade. So, Lexie, being the playful and mischievous spirit she was, took every opportunity to tease y/n.

One day, during a break in their shift at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Lexie found herself standing next to y/n in the bustling cafeteria. She leaned in, her voice laced with a hint of flirtation, and said, "You know, y/n, I've noticed something about you. Your calmness is so intriguing. It's like a challenge, trying to crack that serene exterior."

Y/n, taken aback by Lexie's unexpected flirting, flashed a small, amused smile. "Oh, really? Well, Lexie, maybe you just haven't discovered the right approach yet," they replied, their voice carrying a newfound confidence.

Their friends, including Meredith, Cristina, Jackson, and Bailey, who happened to be sitting nearby, exchanged intrigued glances. They had witnessed Lexie's playful advances towards y/n for some time, but now, to their surprise, y/n seemed to be flirting back.

As the days went by, Lexie's teasing intensified, and y/n responded with subtle yet effective flirtatious comebacks. Their banter created an electrifying tension, and their friends couldn't help but be thoroughly amused by the unfolding dynamics.

The days turned into weeks, and the flirtatious exchanges between y/n and Lexie continued to escalate. They couldn't deny the growing attraction and the connection they felt. It was a dance of witty banter and stolen glances, drawing them closer with each passing moment.

One day, when the hospital corridors were empty and their shift had momentarily quieted down, y/n seized the opportunity. They pulled Lexie into an on-call room and gently closed the door behind them. Standing face to face, y/n's arms wrapped around Lexie's waist, pulling her closer.

"Well, Lexie, I must admit that your teasing has stirred something in me. You've managed to unlock a side of me that I didn't even know existed," they whispered playfully in Lexie's ear. Lexie gasped softly, feeling a rush of warmth and excitement as y/n's arms encircled her.

Days later, after a long and eventful shift, their friends decided to unwind at Joe's, the bar across the street from the hospital. Laughter and conversation filled the air as they sat together, relishing the camaraderie and relaxation.

Mid-conversation, y/n excused themselves to make a quick call. In that moment, Mark Sloan, known for his charming nature, saw an opportunity and approached Lexie with a mischievous grin.

"Hey there, Lexie. Enjoying the company?" Mark teased, leaning against the table.

Lexie, momentarily flustered by Mark's sudden attention, held her ground. "I can handle myself just fine, thank you," she replied, trying to keep her composure.

Just as the conversation between Mark and Lexie started to heat up, y/n returned, their expression determined. They walked up to the table, looking directly at Mark. "Back off, Sloan. She's taken," y/n declared, their voice filled with possessiveness.

Mark, surprised by y/n's protective stance, raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Oh, really? By who? She's never said anything," he playfully questioned.

Y/n hugged Lexie from behind, resting their head on her shoulder, and said, "Well, we've been together for a year now, so..."

The rest of their friends erupted into laughter and cheers, their amusement reaching its peak. The tables had turned, and it was y/n's turn to show their feelings openly. Lexie blushed, her heart racing with joy, as y/n's gesture of affection affirmed what she had long hoped for.

In that moment, surrounded by their supportive friends, y/n and Lexie found solace in the knowledge that their unspoken love had finally blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Their calm and flirtatious dynamic, once a secret shared only between them, had become a source of joy and laughter for all those around them.

With newfound certainty, y/n leaned in and whispered to Lexie, "I think our friends have figured it out."

Lexie, her eyes sparkling with happiness, nodded and whispered back, "I'm glad they did. Now we can be together, openly" while hugging her.

And as their friends continued to cheer and celebrate their newfound love, y/n and Lexie basked in the warmth of their connection, knowing that their calm and energetic spirits had found harmony in each other's embrace.

As y/n sat beside Lexie, their head resting on her shoulder, they exchanged a knowing glance filled with love and adoration. The once-secret attraction had transformed into a blossoming relationship, and their friends couldn't have been happier for them.
