Daryl

Rick and I stood within the trees. He told me how he was able to make it out, but he wanted to wait for Gabriel. It's been about ten minutes. Rick is wanting to go, but I reminded him that we could wait. All the explosives, everything we did to lead the walkers to the Sanctuary, they made it. The herd's got the Sanctuary right where we want 'em.

"We can wait some more." I reassure Rick.

"We can't." He shakes his head. "He stopped to get me." I held a stare with him.

"How's that?" I ask him.

"Negan." He sighs out. "He was on the ground. I was trying to kill him, and Gabriel stopped to get me. We gotta start out."

"You all right?" I ask him. I turn my head when he didn't answer. He lightly chuckles and looks at me.

"This isn't about me." He says and walks away. I turn my head towards the woods, looking for any sign of Gabriel incase he made it. Nothing. I turn back to the others, letting out a whistle and circling my finger.

The real work begins. We took care of the watch posts. Now, we start with the outposts. We've all got teams set up. Each team goes to a specific outpost and takes 'em out. Once every last one is destroyed, we move in on the money maker.

Rick and my group approach the outpost. We took out each Savior that stood outside. Aaron's group held elsewhere of the building. Rick and I hunched down behind a few cars, seeing two Saviors standing just outside the doors that lead us inside. Rick gives me a nod and we stood up, firing our guns at the men. Their body's fall to the ground and we rush inside the building. We turn down a hallway and stopped, turning to the others behind us.

"You signal if they're already inside." Rick informs.

"We'll be there." John nods.

"Come on. Let's go find them guns." I nod at Rick. We move down the hallway, separating with John and the others. We rush through every door, taking out any Saviors we came across, checking each room for the stash of guns. So far, nothing. No luck. We ended up separating, looking for the guns on our own. Still, there isn't anything here.

I turn around the corner, hearing Rick gasp and raise his gun at my face. I glance over to him, not even missing a beat or flinching at his response.

"Ain't on this floor." I inform him.

"Only option is up." He nods.

"High ground. Good cover."

"Yeah, I'd put them up there, too."

"Stairs." I grab the handle and try opening the door. Without them budging, I stood back and began kicking at it. A few tries and the doors finally open up. We rush up the stairs til we're stopped by another door. We break open the only door, the elevator. Rick and I climbed up the wire cable, getting higher and higher til we couldn't no more. I force the doors open and climbed onto the floor, turning around and helping Rick up. We raised our weapons, looking up and down the hallway for any incoming Saviors, or people of our own.

"Last floor." Rick calls. "The guns have gotta be up here."

"He said they'd be here." I say. The only reason we know about the stash of guns is because of Dwight. Right, major detail. The night Sasha and Rosita went to kill Negan themselves, Dwight spotted Rosita. He mentioned he wanted to talk. So, the night I came back to Alexandria, he was there. He said he wanted Negan dead, too. Wanted to help us win this fight. Since then, he's been giving us all the information we need on each watchpost, outpost, all of it. So far, everything he's told us, we've came upon and he's right. I told Rick if Dwight rats us out or does anything to make us lose, I'm gonna kill him.
