"Coming up on it soon." Rosita announces. She falls quiet for a moment. "You got those circuits unscrambled yet?" She asks Eugene.
"Not yet, but I will." He nods determined. "In two armadillo blinks of an eye." Rosita nods her head. "You must really like Gabriel." Eugene claims. Quick disclaimer, it took me a minute to get used to the sight of Rosita and Gabriel kissing. Yeah, those two are a thing now. I would've never imagined Gabriel and Rosita together. I know her and Siddiq had a thing, but it wasn't anything serious, but still...I was silently team Rosita and Siddiq.
"What?" Rosita lightly chuckles.
"Well, enlisting me as your accomplice and flouting security protocol to stand by your man, well, I take it as a sign of the seriousness of your intentions toward him." Rosita glances over to me, rolling her eyes.
"Eugene, can we just focus on what we're doing?" She asks him.
"Please." I step in.
"Okeydokey." Eugene agrees. "Machete-wielding men of the cloth with zero depth perception aren't exactly a dime a dozen. I'll give you that. But that's not to say that there aren't other, more viable selects available to you- selects with equally distinctive qualities and belie systems firmly rooted in facts and science versus fables and fairy tales, generally speaking." Rosita and I chuckle, shaking our heads.
"Anyone specific in mind?" I ask him.
"Generally speaking, as I said." He shakes his head.
"Right." Rosita nods. I turn my head as I noticed something.
"Whoa." I call, pulling back on the horses lead. I look down at the ground, seeing a large set of tracks in the dirt. "Tracks look fresh. Maybe hundreds heading east."
"Lucky for us, west is where the deed gets done." Eugene nods. I turn my head and look through the trees. Just in the distance, standing tall over the trees, two water towers displayed themselves.

It was about an hours time the rest of the way. We finally reached our destination, tied down the horses and walked over to the water tower. Eugene easily climbs up first while Rosita and I remained on ground, keeping watch of everything to make sure it was all running smoothly.
"What do you think Eugene meant by...fairy tales and shit back there?" I ask Rosita. She throws me a shrug.
"I don't know." She answers. "Maybe he's trying to impress someone who lives somewhere in one of the communities." She guesses.
"Maybe so." I nod.
"Why?" She asks.
"I mean...you two spent a long time together." I point out. "You don't think he's the one he's got a little crush going on?" I smirk at her. She lightly laughs.
"Sure." She nods. "Whatever you say, Mer." She shakes her head. She reaches down and grabs the radio to text everything out.
"Lookin' good, Eugene!" She shouts up to him.
"I'm comin' down." He calls.
"Good. Can we get out of here? I am starving." I let out a sigh.
"Ro! Mer! Herd!" Rosita and I turn our heads and see a herd of walkers coming towards us, and a bit fast.
"Shit." I utter.
"Get your ass down! Now!" Rosita shouts. We turn away and rush off over to the horses. Rosita and I approach them, only to startle the horses. All three of them pull from the fence and take off running.
