The maliciously compulsive lies
Used to make me cry through dry eyes,
Hectic emotions all haywire and awry.
Desperately wondering why
Things were the way they were?
How things ended up so impure?
Like an angler lure glowing within the darkness,
Deceitful promises reeled me in.
However, I refuse to let
The bad guys or days win.
Their evil, sinful grins encircled me
Underneath a blinding light that was me all along.
Fight and flight?
It's not right!
It never was...
But it's only because
I ignored the divine messages
From the glorious Heavens above.
I needed the universal shove
Directly into my prophesied destiny.
Strong yet fragile,
Bendable but not breakable
Was the underlying and equally
Overwhelming faith in these words,
"Verily, verily
I propose unto thee..."
