Love me as you love yourself,
That's all I ever ask.
Why is it so hard to complete one easy, little task?
Love me as you love yourself
Because that's how it should really be.
I find it quite impossible not to love
A person like me.
Love me as you love yourself
Without the selfishness included.
I don't like to be tricked or played
And definitely not deluded.
Love me as you love yourself
From one day to another.
Love me as you do, your very own brother.
Love me as you love yourself,
With all respect due.
And maybe someday when you least expect it
I will love you, too.
