So cruel it is... the fate of a Mother,
Giving the best of herself by sharing and caring for another,
Tethered to stricter societal strands than her Brother.
Destined to mimic the fate of her own Mother.
Blessed beings who breathe life as no other.
So cruel it is... the fate of a Wife.
Endless household duties shrouded by an impossible career and familial strifes.
Only to be personified on a trophy pedestal as a shining beacon of light so starkly bright.
Elegant, Stunning, Classy and Contrite.
A Queen of Love, romantic, gorgeous sprite.
So cruel it is... the fate of a Sister.
Keeping lifetime secrets of siblings' whispers.
Unfaltering, not for pleasure or profit as the victor.
The pure unadulterated opposite of Mister.
So cruel it is... the fate of an Aunt.
Especially for those childless and daringly daunt.
Her fond memories of old haunt
Saving all with her sweet charm,
Running arm in arm through the park
At dark, you can always escape with her.
Anywhere.
So cruel it is... the fate of a Grandmother.
Passing down all the matriarchal traditions as she utters,
"Love your Father, your Husband, and your children!"
A dysfunctional enabling of entitlement that'll never end.
It could be considered a sin
To be born feminine.
