I was alone
In the unknown
Of the darkness
That surrounded me.
A shrouded mystery
How I was able
To survive?
To still be alive...
To tell this insidious tale.
Disassociation leads to numbness
Of emotions growing stale.
It should appear to fail
Is inevitably imminent.
There's no blueprint of life
To readily reference.
Though, they foolishly ridicule us by
Saying it's merely our preference.
Life is what you make it?
I beg someone to attest.
Say it with your chest
Put to the ultimate test!
