Chapter 3

Adrien's POV

I saved the game and was actually very happy that I had my own account saved on Marinette's game system that way I didn't have to start all the way over when I got home later. I grabbed a sandwich from the plate Marinette brought and snuck some cheese for Plagg as Marinette went to the window to look outside.

Curiosity overtook me and I went over to her side and looked out the window as well eating my sandwich. I saw thunder and lighting and rain coming down hard over Paris it almost looked like a tornado would start any moment.

At first I thought it was the work of an Akuma but soon realized it wasn't as it was starting to rain harder as we were coming to the bakery from school. I ran over to the tv and turned on the weather channel.

" That's right folks this is sadly not the work of an Akuma this is natural weather happening as we speak. We are seeing a severe thunderstorm happening at the moment and advise to stay off the rodes as we are seeing gale force winds coming in we will inform you as we continue watching the storm." the news caster said as we saw what seemed to be a cold front coming in. I was really hoping it was an Akuma and not Mother nature.

" I guess I should call my dad let him know where I am so he isn't worried and I think it's best we cancel the party tonight as it looks like this storm isn't letting up anytime soon." I told Marinette as I got my phone out to call my father hoping he wouldn't yell or say anything about being disappointed in me.

"Hello Gabriel Agreste voicemail, to leave a message please call my secretary" I heard my fathers voicemail knowing he wouldn't answer I decided to call Nathalie.

"Hello?" I hear Nathalie speak over the phone.

"Hey Nathalie I assume you heard the news right?" I asked hoping I would't have to explain.

"Yes I have heard the news, you're at Miss Marinette's right?" she said in the same formal tine as my father.

"Yes, I'm at Marinette's please tell father that I'm ok and I don't want him to worry too much" I told her hoping my father wouldn't freak out too much considering this is the first time I've ever stayed over at anyone's house.

Nathalie said ok and told me not to worry too much and that the Gorilla got to the house before the storm got too bad which I was grateful for. I went to find Marinette to see if she canceled the party. To say I was upset is an understatement I was genuinely excited for the party but I didn't want anyone to get hurt.

"Hey Mari is everything ok?" I asked

" Yes everything is fine everyone is a bit upset but they understand that we can't control the weather. Did you call your father?" she asked but it seemed a little nervous about something

"I called Nathalie since my father didn't answer but it's all good so don't worry. I hope I'm not a burden to you and your family" I said feeling slightly guilty that Marinette and her family are stuck with me.

"Ok good so since I won't be able to give you your gifts later tonight what do you say to me giving them to you right now?" she said in a slightly nervous but excited voice. I laughed as she seemed to be jumping up and down with excitement.

"You really are cute you know that Mari?" I didn't realize what I had said till I said it but I didn't regret what I said because the face she made really made it worth it. "I would love to receive my gift from you now yes."

"Ok come on I've been really excited for you to see what I got you. I was going to give them to you in private and I kinda had some help from your dad" once she told me that she had help from my dad I was shocked that my father actually helped Marinette with buying me a gift.
