Chapter 33

 Marinette's POV

I woke up around 8 am so I could go over Adrien and Felix's surprise party with Alya and Nino for tonight since they weren't able to have one last year. There was no school today but we wanted to plan early. I was really excited to think a year ago I had just gotten with Adrien and now I'm pregnant with his babies. This relationship had been building up for a while but I understand some people probably would feel differently about our situation.

I wonder what their reaction would be when they see the party. A part of me is a bit worried since Luka said he lost sight of Lila and has no idea where she went after the fight. We have both the butterfly and peacock miraculous but I will need to keep an extra eye out incase she decides she wants to steal them back.
Once I was dressed I went downstairs and greeted my parents getting an apple for my breakfast but quickly spitting it out as it tasted awful "Papa why do these apples taste horrible?" I asked confused since they normally tasted fine.
"Must be your cravings. Adrien did always have a sweet tooth let me get you some macaroons ok?" He said as he made his way downstairs with me right behind him "Passion fruit macaroon?" I asked which caused him to chuckle. He grabbed the macaroons and put them in a bag for me to eat as I walked to the park
As I walked to the park to meet up with Alya and Nino I heard a yelp and turned to see a little girl had fallen and her parents ran over to help. The little girl was crying as she had scraped her knee.
I looked over fondly as the girls frown became a smile form her fathers weird antics of trying to cheer her up while her mother helped up her daughter. I subconsciously started to rub my stomach.

"What do you two think? Will your Papa still be all weird and pun-loving?" I asked as I continued to walk towards the school "I think they might take on his cat like tendency of laying on the floor in the rain or playing with your yarn balls" Tikki said popping her head out of my purse.
I laughed at Tikki as she continued to make fun of how Adrien is really like a cat which I could agree on Plagg and Adrien really are like actual cats.
I reached the park and saw Alya and Nino with a note pad and discussing the surprise party. I went over and sat at the bench next to Alya "Morning Mari, so Nino and I have everything ready so we'll get everyone over here and set it up while you go to the twins house and distract them as long at you can then at 1 pm bring them here" Alya told me the whole plan and I nodded showing I was listening to everything she was saying.
After talking to the two of them I started walking over to the Agreste mansion to distract the blonde twins. I pulled out my phone and called Adrien he answered after two rings "Morning birthday boy" I said
"Morning Bug" he responded sounding slightly groggy and tired. At least I hope he's tired and not sick "Are you ok?" I asked

"Actually Felix and I caught a bit of a cold today I'm sorry" he said his voice sounded deeper than usual. "Oh my poor kitty I'm on my way I'll be there soon" I said and told him a quick I love you before he could argue that it wasn't good for me to be around him if he's sick
I called Alya and Nino telling them that Felix and Adrien were sick so we had to cancel the party... again. "Awe, man, what? That sucks I was hoping for a party this year" Nino said sounding disappointed "Sorry Nino I'm on my way there to check up on them" I told them as I walked up to the gates and ringed the doorbell
"Marinette it's not a good idea you're pregnant you have to be careful" Alya said "I know but I'll be fine I need to make sure my brother and boyfriend are ok" I said and looked up to notice the gates are open
"Ok, I'll call you guys later with an update," I quickly said bye and made my way up the stairs and to the front door, which was opened by none other than Gabriel Agreste
"Ms. Marinette, the boys are sick it's not good for you to be around them. You could get their cold, and it would be bad for the babies, " Gabriel said but still allowed me in."I understand, Mr. Agreste but it's the boys birthday and I really want to spend at least some time with them please I'll be careful I promise" I really wanted to see Adrien and Felix as well they should be able to spend time with their friends today
"Oh all right but just be careful I don't want any harm to come to my grandchildren" Gabriel said causing me to smile and jump excited to see my boyfriend "Here that kids your grandpa Gabriel is gonna let us take care of your Papa and Uncle Felix" I said to my stomach and fast walked to Adrien/Felix's rooms. I could hear Gabriel chuckling behind me as I made my way to their room, which was surprising. I didn't think he laughed often.
As soon as I was face to face with their bedroom door, I knocked and heard a faint come in. I opened the door slightly and looked around the room before fully opening the door and letting myself in.
I looked over to the bed and saw Adrien on his phone with a cool strip on his forehead, and his hair pushed back. "Hey there bug, I was trying to tell you coming here would be a bad idea since you're pregnant but figures you wouldn't listen" Adrien said as he put his phone down and slowly got out of bed
"No, don't get up. I just came over to check on you. Plus, I thought maybe talking to the babies would make you smile on your special day. Since we can't have a party like we planned, I'm gonna come over again later with a surprise for you and Felix." I told Adrien and grabbed his hand as I pushed more of his hair back.
"Speaking of which, where is Felix?" I asked, confused since he's normally always with Adrien. I swear I wonder if they've ever been truly apart since we moved in with Adrien and Gabriel.
"Oh yeah, he's right here," Adrien said as he pulled back the blanket slightly to reveal Felix with a cooling pad as well and his breathing slightly shallow. Felix had his arms wrapped around Adrien's waist "He's always gotten sicker than me so my dad and Nathalie have been keeping an extra eye on him but he's been cuddled up next to me all morning." Adrien said, pushing his brothers hair back a bit.
"Well, hopefully you two will get better by tomorrow," I said, bending over slightly to look at Felix. Adrien grabbed me by my waist, pulling me closer to him. At first, I was surprised but realized what he was doing.
Adrien kissed my stomach causing me to giggle then he began talking to it "Hey kids, sorry your dad and Uncle Felix are sick right now but don't worry we'll get better soon and I'll take care of your mama as much as possible so she doesn't feel lonely" Adrien said and continued to kiss my stomach both of us laughing quietly as to not wake up Felix.
He stopped, and both of us looked over at Felix, who began to stir in his sleep.
"Has he always been like this?" I asked."Like what?" Adrien replied
"Have you two always been joined at the hip?" I told him, still looking at Felix, and ruffled his hair a bit. "Well, as toddlers and stuff kinda yeah, but after our uncle and our mother died, we haven't seen much of each other. Our aunt was coping, and so was our father. We called and video chatted almost every day since we hated being apart from each other so much. Being away from you is like having my whole world taken away, but if you took my brother away...then you would be taking away a part of me. We complete each other, We're twins after all, " he said, looking at me with a smile still holding me tightly. I really hope our kids have the same relationship as Adrien and Felix.
Just then, we heard the door open to reveal Gabriel and Nathalie with soup for the boys "Well well I see a visit from Ms. Marinette helped out a bit, huh?" Gabriel asked as he set the bowls of soup on Adrien's desk
"No it wasn't me at all he just wanted to say hello to his kids" I said pushing Adrien away slightly causing him to chuckle "Well the babies are apart of you at the moment so you're the cause of that smile" Gabriel said walking over towards me and reaching out for my stomach
"May I?" Gabriel asked. I nodded, and he placed his hand on my stomach
"They aren't really moving or kicking yet, but the doctor said it's good to talk to them so they could get used to our voices," I told him
"Well, that's true. Anyway let us let the boys rest a little longer" Gabriel said removing his hand from my stomach and coming down to whisper something in my ear "Come back around 7 with Nino and Alya and we can give them a small surprise" after he said that I smile and walked over to Adrien
"I'll call you later. Happy Birthday, Kitty. I love you, " I said and gave him a quick kiss on his forehead. He giggled, and I decided to give him kisses all over his face. He laughs like a child. I gave Felix a quick kiss on his head, making him stir again, and said goodbye. I walked out of the Agreste mansion and called Alya and Nino to come up with a plan for Felix and Adrien.
