Chapter 12

Adrien's POV

I landed in an alleyway and transformed back quickly feeding some cheese to Plagg

"Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean won't you father get mad?" he asked "Since when has my father ever been happy about anything I do?" I said still angry even though I do everything in my power to make him happy he never cares

I had Plagg hide in my side pocket and ran to Marinette's house. Once I knocked on the door I pulled back wondering if this was even a good idea. I looked down at my pocket where Plagg hid and I could see him give me a reassuring smile.

Marinette's mother opened the door and immediately smiled as soon as she saw me. "Oh Adrien what a nice surprise. Sweetheart what's the matter you seem upset?" she then pulled me into a hug I guess I shouldn't have been crying on the way here.

"Can I see Marinette please? I need to talk to her its kind of important" she was about to pull away but before she could I pulled her back it's been a while since I felt motherly love such as this and I didn't want to let go. "Wait don't let go just yet...please" I knew I must have seemed desperate but I needed this hug. I needed a parent.

"Of course sweetie I wasn't planning to" after a while we let go and she told me Marinette was in her room. I went up to her trapdoor and knocked softly I don't think she heard me because she didn't open the door.

I opened the door slowly and caught Marinette with headphone in and dancing around in just a tank top and shorts. She looks so beautiful and carefree. How I would love to be right next to her dancing around.

I didn't even notice I was starting to cry again. I really love her so much what am I going to do I can't loose her. I just turned 16 so there isn't much I can do until I'm 17 or 18 even so what can I do. I'm useless

"Oh Adrien I didn't hear you come in. Are you ok? It's a bit late what's wrong?" She ran over to me and cupped my face pulling me into her room. "Mari my father said that you're just a phase and that once high school is over I have to start dating Lila. I thought he approved of us what are we going to do? I love you and I don't want to loose you."

I sobbed as Marinette hugged me against her chest and tried to calm me down. Soon I fell asleep on the floor with my head in her lap, huh I guess I'm more like a cat than I thought.

~Marinette's POV~

Adrien soon fell asleep from crying luckily I had my phone near me so I had Papa come and put him on my chaise since he was too heavy for me to carry and I didn't want him to catch a cold from sleeping on the floor.

I went over to my computer to do some last minute homework when Alya video chatted me I put in my headphones to my desktop and answered her "Hey girl what's going on?" I could see Nino in the background playing a game which made me laugh "Haha hey Alya, hi Nino I'm ok what's up"

She was quiet for a bit and then called Nino and pointed at something on her screen next thing I know both of them started giggling confusing the hell out of me.

I then realized that they could most likely see Adrien asleep on my chaise. Even though the room was dimly lit you could still see him curled up holding a small Ladybug plushie so cute.

"He came here crying because his father thinks our relationship is just a phase and that we'll break up soon. Also when high school is over he is going to be forced to date Lila" that shut the both of them up really quickly and they looked at me with such sympathetic eyes.

"Oh Marinette I'm so sorry we didn't realize. Will you two be ok for school tomorrow?" she said Alya really is an amazing friend and she cares about me so much same for Nino with Adrien what did we do to deserve these amazing friends.

"We'll be fine don't worry I think he just wants us to be together as much as possible he's going to stay here tonight, but not sure what's going to happen for the rest of the week, but I know that my parents will let him stay here no matter what"

We talked for a little while and I didn't realize that Adrien had woken up until I felt his arm around my waist and his chin on my shoulder. "Hey Sunshine, feeling better?" he nodded I could tell he was still tried and it was getting late so I think it's time to put this child to bed

"Sorry guys but as you can tell this baby needs some rest and we have school tomorrow so I'll see you guys tomorrow" they both said their goodbyes and I turned off my desktop and got up to go to my bed dragging Adrien with me because he wouldn't let me go at all.

Once we got to my bed I flopped down with Adrien on top of me. He really seemed half awake so that's probably why he was holding me like a stuffed animal "Goodnight Adrien I love you" I combed me hand through his hair and he started...purring?

That doesn't seem right. I only know one other person that purrs, but that's impossible Adrien can't be Chat Noir. I pulled my hand away and he stopped purring and tried it again just to be sure what I heard was correct. Once again he purred.

Ok Marinette don't freak out until you have more evidence to be absolutely positive that Adrien is Chat, but if he is then I most definitely can't let him go and I most definitely won't let Lila anywhere near my kitty.
