I'm Glad Is You

Chapter 26

Adrien's POV

I swung house to house until I was at Marinette's balcony window. I looked in and saw she was asleep, I know I should've just left but that dream, I needed to see her and make sure she was breathing.

The skylight was open because she normally leaves it open for me. I hopped into her room and de-transformed and went over to her and listened to her breathing, it never sounded so beautiful to hear the sound of my girlfriend breathing. I guess she heard me because she started moving around.

Once she opened her eyes she looked up at me "Adrien? What are you doing here?" she said sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

I couldn't stop myself the tears came and I grabbed her into a hug. "I'm so sorry Marinette, I didn't know what you went through with Chat Blanc and now that I do I'm sorry but I promise you right here and now I will never turn into that monster" She wrapped her arms around me and slowly moved us down till I was laying on her chest

"Tell me what happened" She said as she weaved her fingers through my hair. I told her everything that happened in my dream from the moon to everything being broken "How? Thats exactly what happened it's like you saw my memories"

Tikki came up and told us that it is possible to see the memories of previous miraculous holders which explains why when I dream sometimes I saw different memories of Ladybugs and Chat Noir's that had different outfits form different times that aren't Marinette and I.

"I'm so sorry you had to see that it must've been awful" Marinette said pulling my head into her chest and I shook my head

"No, the awful part wasn't that I was akumatized. The awful part was that you were dead" I told her and continued to cry into her chest.

"I didn't care about myself, I cared that you were dead, that I was the one that killed you, that I couldn't save you" I didn't know how else to explain it besides complete pain. I couldn't believe that she saw me in that much pain and I tired to make sure I didn't express all of that pain before. I wonder how long I had been there until Marinette came and saved me.

"Adrien, seeing Chat Blanc was something I never wanted you to see" Marinette looked away from me and I couldn't help but put the palm of my hand on her stomach. Marinette looked down at me as I put my ear on her stomach "Kitty what are you doing?" she asked giggling

I decided I wanted to lighten the mood "Hello" I said in a deep voice "I am your dad and I am waiting for you to come out so your mommy can be Ladybug again" I said making Marinette giggle more "I'm gonna be honest Princess I'm not sure I can do your job but I will do my best to keep you and our baby safe" I said as I kept rubbing her stomach that temporarily house our baby.

Marinette tried pulled me down to lay on her chest again but I continued to talk to our baby while Marinette laughed at my 'weirdness'. I told random stories and memories knowing that it was good for us to talk to the baby so they could recognize out voice when they were born. "Your grandparents on your mommy's side already love you and your Uncle Felix cant wait to teach all kind of things. Your grandpa Gabriel might be a bit on the rough side but he'll love you I promise, but your grandma Emilie well sadly you'll never meet her but I know she would've loved you...after she killed me for not being responsible" I said laughing knowing my mother she likely would've been very annoyed with me but would've loved Marinette and our baby and spoiled the both of them embarrassing me to no end. I continued tell stories of our adventures as Ladybug and Chat Noir as well "And then your mommy jumped on my rod launching me all the way across Paris and I had to run all the way back to help her defeat Stormy Weather"

"You know it was an accident I didn't mean to throw you across the city" Marinette wouldn't stop laughing "We need to get to sleep you know" I nodded I knew she was right "My mom said something about scheduling a doctors appointment soon so we can check on the baby and see how far along I am, but I'm guessing maybe I'm a month along"

I knew she was more than likely right. The timing added up. "It'll be my birthday in 3 days you know?" I told her and she sighed

"Yes I know kitty and I have no idea what to get you for your birthday to be honest" she said weaving her fingers through my hair.

"Our baby is the best gift you could ever give me and believe that" I told her and I fell asleep on her chest. When I woke up I looked over at the clock and saw it was 6:30 am and I needed to get home before Felix called and freaked out. Plus school started at 8

I called for Tikki and she flew over to me and I called for my transformation giving Marinette a quick kiss goodbye and swung home. When I got home I saw Felix on the couch asleep with Plagg using his hair as a blanket. I chuckled at the two of them and de-transformed grabbing a blanket to cover up Felix.

Tikki flew over and laid next to Plagg on Felix's head while I went over and got clothes out for school. I really need to figure out how to tell my father Marinette is pregnant.

He's going to be so pissed and question why I wasn't responsible when it came to that type of stuff. Truth be told I knew he would be awake right now so it's now or nothing I went downstairs and walked over to my fathers office.

I was right outside his office nervously fidgeting not completely sure what I was going to say.

"Adrien? What are you doing up this early you don't have to be up for another half hour or so."

Nathalie came from around the corner

"Um Nathalie, can I talk to you about something kind of personal?" I asked her hoping maybe if I told her she would help me tell my father. We went over to the living room and sat down Nathalie looked up at me waiting for me to say something to her.

"Adrien are you ok?" she asked putting her hand on my shoulder and being super patient with me.

"Nathalie I have to tell my father something and I'm not really sure how to tell him" she looked at and told me to continue "Well you see...Marinette...is kinda...pregnant" my eyes were squeezed shut as I waited for her reaction

"What?" I heard someone say but it wasn't Nathalie when I opened my eyes I saw my father and Felix behind Nathalie who looked as shocked as my father "What did you just say? Marinette is pregnant?"

"Father I'm sorry I promise I was-" I was quickly cut off by his yelling

"HOW COULD YOU BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE? DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WILL MAKE ME LOOK?" He yelled as he walked over to me as I stood up before I could understand what exactly he was doing I felt a strong sting across my cheek and landed on the floor

I looked up at my father who looked as shocked as I did. He started walking toward me and I scooted away from him scared of what he'll do next. Felix ran to my side and stood in front of me. "Adrien I-" I didn't get to listen to anything he had to say as my brother grabbed my hand and we ran to our room.

When we got into our room Felix slammed the door locking it behind him and walked over to me and grabbed me holding me close. Both of us were shaking with adrenaline from what just happened.

My father hit me and I never thought he would ever do that.
