"We will leave tonight. Prepare yourself and I'll do the rest," Keighn assured me.

Wala sa sarili akong tumango. I went outside and I saw my husband talking to his bodyguards.

Pakiramdam ko hanggang ngayon nananaginip parin ako. I'm happily married to my husband. He is caring and loving doctor who served innocent people. He is the kind of man who prioritize other first before himself. Whenever I'm looking at him, I always thankful that he found me that night. I always want to stay in his side and fulfill my promise as his wife.

But now, our reality is far from my wanted life. Paano ko siya titingnan sa araw-araw na alam ko sa sarili ko hindi makatarungan ang pamumuhay niya. Na may mga tao namamatay at nagdudusa dahil sa asawa ko? I'm a lawyer for pete sake!

"Do I really need to kill her?" Zech asked my husband.

Dahil nakatalikod ang asawa ko sa akin ay hindi ko makita ang emosyon niya.

"Do you want me to do it?" he harshly replied.

"But she's innocent! Wala siya kinalaman sa gulo na nangyayari. Nasa gitna man tayo ng giyera hindi parin dapat madamay ang mga taong wala kinalaman. Should we forgot what we fighting for?" pain invisible on his face.

I can say that Zech is a kind of man who is not totally monster. He just created by someone. I can still see the kindness in his cold action.

Agad na kinuha ng asawa ko ang baril at walang pasabi na pinutok sa isa niyang tauhan. Agad na bumulagta sa sahig ang walang buhay na katawan nito.

"Kuya!" I heard a angry voice in my back.

Agad naman lumingon ang asawa ko sa gawi ko. He seems shocked and guilty on what he done. Pero agad rin naman napalitan ng galit ang kanyang mga mata.

"Kuya, what are you doing?!" galit na galit na tanong ni Keighn sa kapatid niya.

Agad na bumaba ang nakakatanda nilang kapatid para tingan ang nangyayari. His cold aura added a tension on us.

"Clean this mess," walang emosyon na utos ni Nico sa kanyang mga tauhan.

"Just follow what your boss told you to do. He's the heir of Roccero Empire, the biggest mafia organization in country. If you don't want to be accountable on your colleagues death, follow your king. His word is the law," madiin na sabi ng nakakatanda nilang kapatid.

His every words and actions filled with anger and agony.

Agad na lumuhod si Zech sa harapan ni Nico. "I'm sorry, I didn't intend to disobey you, Boss. I will kill her in my bare hands." he promised.

Kahit labag sa kalooban niya ay tumayo siya at akmang lalabas na siya ng pinigilan siya ni Keighn.

"Let her live! We killed her family and all her relatives! We even destroyed her company and all her properties. Ano pa ba ang kailangan mo, kuya? Is the pain of losing someone we love is not enough punishment for her?"

Unti-unti tinutok ng asawa ko ang baril niya sa kapatid niya. Hindi man lang umalma o nagulat ang nakakatanda nilang kapatid. He remain unemotional.

"Stop! Please stop!" hinarang ko ang katawan ko kay Keighn. I'm begging him to stop.

Hanggang ngayon ay ramdam ko parin ang panginginig ng katawan ko dahil sa nakita ko. My husband killed someone in front of me and he is ordering again to kill someone!

"Please, you're traumatizing me. Stop. Please stop for a while. Let me process everything I witnessed and I heard right now! Isa-isa lang!" I hissed.

Hinablot ni Keighn ang baywang ko at pinaharap sa kanya. He encircled his arm on my waist and gently hugged me.

Dahil sa gulat ay hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko at kung ano ang una kong iisipin.

"Keighn," rinig ko ang babala sa boses ni Zech.

Narinig ko rin ang pagkalas ng baril ng asawa ko.

"Boss the drugs from Italy are here," natatarantang sabi ni Zech. "Its worth billion. What should we do?"

"I don't care if you are my brother, keep flirting with my wife and I will kill you." he threatened him.

Agad ako hinila ng asawa ko paalis sa kanila.

We went to our private room. Agar naman niya ako binitawan ng makapasok kami sa kwarto namin.

"Did I scare you?" he gently asked.

For a moment, I feel like my husband is back.

Unti-unti siyang lumuhod sa harapan ko. "I'm sorry. This is the only way I know to save you. Did I hurt you that bad? Did I scare you? Tell me how can I heal the pain I caused." he kissed my foot. Ramdam ko ang likido na tumatama sa paa ko.

I squatted on the floor. Nang magkapantay na kami ay unti-unti ko inangat ang mukha ng asawa ko. He's crying.

He seems too weak. Parang pagod na pagod siya sa pagpapanggap at sa sakit. Ang kanyang abong mga mata ay puno ng pagsisisi.

My mother don't want to be involved in this dirty world so she escaped carrying their first supposedly child. But our unborn brother died in the Philippines. My father found out about it and he declared a war to our enemy which killed our brother. My parents died but the war isn't over. As the mafia boss of my organization, I need to end this and win. Can you wait until I win? Please don't leave me. Stay by my side, wife." he cried on my shoulder.

"After the war, we will leave this place together. I will fulfill my promise to raise a child in other place far from this kind of life. Please, wife wait for me. Wait until I win this war. Let me be your husband until the end." he begged even more.

Ano gagawin? I'm already pregnant. Handa ba ako maghintay sa walang kasiguraduhan?

Nang huminahon siya ay binuhat niya ako patungo sa kama namin. Magaan niyang hinalikan ang noo ko.

"For now, I can't promise you the peaceful life but I'm more willing to be your bullet proof in this war. I will protect my queen." ang kanyang mata ay puno ng pagmamahal at pag-asa.

Kinuha niya ang wedding picture namin at idinikit ito sa dingding na sa harap ng kama namin.

I tear up seeing our wedding picture. It reminds me of our ups and down. How I endure college and law school with him until I reached my dream as lawyer. Kami ay naging uwian ng isat isa sa nakalipas na taon.

Lumapit ulit siya sa akin para halikan ang noo ko. "I'll be back soon. I will explain you everything once the war ended. Please, wife. Promise me, hindi mo ako iiwan. Unti-unti ako tumango. I kissed his lips.

"Maghihintay ako," I promised.

When he heard my assurance, he went outside to continue what he suppose to do.

Tama. Sana tama ang desisyon ko. Sa huling pagkakataon, gusto ko ipaglaban ang pamilya ko at asawa ko. After this war, we can go back to our old life. At panghahawakan ko ito.

I decided to tell my decision to Keighn. Nang binuksan ko ang pinto para hanapin si Keighn ay agad ko naman ito nakita.

"Let's go, kaka-alis lang nila. We need to hurry up!" hingal nitong sabi. Mukhang tumakbo siya papunta dito para sabihan sa akin iyon.

I smiled to him. Assuring that everything is alright. "I want to trust your brother's words. I want to fight for our family, to our marriage."

I want to stay and prove to myself that my decision was right. I want to be there for my husband too.
