I drop my book bag down in the living room as I got home. I find my mom sitting in the window nook by the tv with her phone in hand.

She looks up once I entered. "Mum what are you doing here?", I ask softly. "I decided to give myself a break since your father isn't here. And can you wash the dishes?"

"Of course"

As I was half way done with the dishes I hear someone honk their car horn near by.

"George, there's a red Camaro sitting outside the house", my mum shouts.

Shit!

I completely forgot about today!

I quickly wash the soup off of my hands then spirited out the kitchen. "I completely forgot to tell you and forgot about the whole thing in general but Clay and I gonna stay at a hotel for tonight because he wants us to get a private pool or something but anyway can you let him come inside while I pack!", I rambled.

I watched her as she blinked at me confusedly. "I'll just explain to you later just let him inside!", I exclaimed as I bolted my way up the stairs.

*Clay's POV*
I was scrolling on my phone when I heard someone knock on the window. I look up expecting to see the brunette but instead it was his mom.

I then roll down the window. "Mrs. Davidson?", I say with a confused tone. "Hi Clay and you can call me Amanda by the way but George wanted me to tell you to come inside because the whole thing you guys were gonna do today went over his head so he's in his room right now getting his stuff situated. You can park in our driveway if you want"

"Oh okay thank you! I'll be there in a minute"

"Wonderful", she says with a smile, backing away from my car and making her way back inside.

Of course he forgot

I let out a small laugh as I pulled into the driveway. I take my keys out of the ignition then made my way inside the house. I softy closed the door behind me as I walked in. Then that's when I see Amanda sitting on the couch.

She looks up and pats on the spot next to her. "Come sit, since George isn't here we can finally finish our conversation", I smile as I take a seat next to her.

*George's POV*
I could have sworn I had swim trucks.

I dig into all of my shorts but couldn't find anything. But then when I reached the bottom of my drawer I finally find them. I quickly pull them out and stuff them into my duffel bag.

Alright I have my toothbrush, change of clothes, pajamas, everything I need to shower.

I look around my room to see if I have forgotten anything. Then that's when my gaze falls upon my plushie. I think for a moment but I end up grabbing it.

I honestly think I've grown attached to it.

Anyways can't forget my book.

I place it into my bag as I zip it close.

That should be everything.

I start to exit my room and make my way down stairs. Then I see my mum and Clay in deep conversation. Oh god what is she asking him now?

I stepped down onto the floor a little louder so they know my presence. They then both turn their heads to look at me. "So when should I expect you back?", my mum asks. "Um sometime in the afternoon", I reply.

"Alright well I'll walk you boys to the door", she says as she stood up.

She then opens the door for us. "See you later Amanda", Clay says softly as he walks out the door. My mother gives him a quick goodbye back then looks at me. "Oh and honey be safe if you guys try to do anything se-"

"Mum! We aren't gonna do anything like that!", I start to hear Clay laughing outside. I shake my head. "Goodbye mum", I say as I walk out the door. "Bye sweetheart", and with that she closes the door.

Clay and I walk down to the driveway as he pulls out his keys, unlocking the car. He opens my door and I slip inside. He then gets inside the car himself.

"Soo you're already on a first name basis with my mum", I say as he starts up the car. "Guess you can say that", he says with a light smile as he takes out his sunglasses.

"What did you guys talk about?", I ask while he was pulling out of the driveway. "Nothing much we just continue our conversation from before. Just a little get to know you better type thing"

"How far is the hotel again?"

"Not that far just a little bit into the city", I nod then I take the time to read my book. So I take it out of my bag and flipped the pages to where I left off.

Thankfully I don't get car sick.

It wasn't long before we arrived at the hotel. I place my book safely back into my bag as Clay parked in the back of the hotel.

Once the car was off Clay puts his sunglasses away then reaches into the back to get his bag. I hook my bag over my shoulder as I got out the car, taking notice that the hotel was pretty tall.

As we both walked in I held on tightly to my plushie. We walk into the lobby, there was a couple with their baby in a stroller that also walked in as well but we ended up getting to the front desk first.

I waited patiently besides Clay as he talked to the lady at the front. I start to look around at the lobby. It was pretty modern. It had an area for people to sit and another area to get breakfast or to just food in general. But then that's when I hear a baby gurgle behind me.

I turn my head and see that the baby was reaching it's little tiny baby hands towards my plushie as it continued to make noises.

I turn back around feeling slightly embarrassed to fact that I was a grown man still holding a plushie in my hands like a little toddler.

"Alright here is your room key. Your room is number 404 on the 5th floor", the lady kindly says as she slides the card towards Clay. "Thank you, have a nice day! Come on George", he says as he began to walk towards the elevator.

I quickly followed behind him.

As we got to our room Clay holds the card to the sensor of the door and opens it. We were met with a little living room area as we entered.

To the right there was a couch that had two side tables next to it with plants and a lamp on top.

To the left there was a tv mounted on the wall and besides it there was a small island counter with bar stools surrounding it. But behind that there was another counter that had a sink attached to it along with a microwave and coffee machine sat on top. And below the counter was a small fridge.

Clay locks the door and makes his way through the room to where the actual bedroom was. There was another door that lead to the bathroom in the small hallway we walked through. It was your normal hotel bathroom with two sinks, a toilet, and a shower.

The bedroom itself had a queen in the middle, two nightstands next to it, a small desk with a mirror above it that was facing the closet, a tv, and a window with an air conditioner below it.

I throw my bag onto the bed as I flopped down next to it. "Oh my god this is so much more comfortable than my actual bed", I say as I stared at the ceiling.

I hear Clay chuckle to my words. The bed then sinks as Clay made his way over to lay down next to me. "Is there anything you want to do anything right now", he softly asked as he stared at me fondly.

I turn over to look at him. "Not really I just want to stay in bed", I say as I slip my shoes off. Clay then does the same.

"Alright if that's what the princess wants", he says as he wraps his arms around me, bringing me closer to him. I snuggle into his chest. He then lightly peaks my forehead.

I smile to myself, already feeling the serotonin take its effect.
