TW: TALK OF DEATH AND A CAR CRASH!! This episode includes them responding to a call for a crash and a victim dying if that makes you uncomfortable, please skip that part (I will leave another warning before it happens)!!

Eddie's POV:

It has been about a week since Buck was allowed to work again and he hasn't said a thing to me. He has completely avoided me, even on calls. I try not to intrude or make Buck uncomfortable. While it does hurt me to do so, I continue to do it. I will catch Buck looking at me, and when he would catch me looking, he would immediately turn his head away to hide. It hurts me seeing Buck like this but there is nothing I can do about it besides. Everyone keeps giving me and Buck curious looks, and a few have even asked me what's going on between us. I was sitting down on the couch in the lounge when Ravi came and sat next me to. We sat in silence for a few before he cleared his throat.

Ravi: I know I shouldn't ask but, what is going on with you and Buck? You guys are not your normal selves.

Eddie: It's alright kid, you're not the first one to ask. His face lightens up a bit. I uh...

Ravi: You don't have to answer that. I'm just worried about you both. You both seem so sad.

Eddie: Want me to be honest Ravi? I'm not sure what's going on. Let's just say some stuff happened and now Buck won't even look at me.

Ravi: Try talking to Buck, Eddie. You guys are best friends, you both need each other.

Eddie: I give him a small, sad laugh. He doesn't need me anymore.

Ravi: I doubt that, Eddie. Just try to talk to him at some point. Okay?

Eddie: Okay.

Ravi gets up to walk away but before that I give him a quick hug and thank him for that talk. Ravi actually helped me out a bit in the situation, to be fair he is also the first person who I haven't completely blown off when they asked me. I'm glad Ravi was able to get me to open up, at least a little bit. It feels like I have a small weight lifted on my shoulders.

We have a 24-hour shift today, which was Buck's first 24-hour shift back, so Bobby is making sure he takes it hella easy, in fact we all are. I try to talk to Buck in between calls but he just hides away from everyone in between them all. I started to get tired and figured I should get some rest. Ofc it was another restless night of sleep, I was tossing and turning the entire time. My brain was running with thoughts, which kept me from sleeping.

I decide to get up and get a glass of water. I try to stay as quiet as possible while trying to find my phone. Now where the hell did, I put that damn thing? It was under my pillow and when I turned it on the time read "3:25 AM". Holy shit it's late. I looked at my lock screen and I could feel my sadness once again hitting me. It was Buck, Christopher and I at the zoo together. Poor Christopher has been worried about Buck. I hope this whole thing blows over soon.

I walk out of the bedroom and enter the kitchen. I refuse to turn a light on as to not wake anyone, so instead I deicide to torture myself by trying to find a cup in darkness with barley any light helping me. As I am searching for the counters, I get the feeling of being watched. I turn around looking towards the direction of the couch and see the light of a phone illuminating the area. I walked a little closer to see who was still up, it was Buck. Of course, it was Buck. This is my moment to talk to him.

Eddie: Whatcha still doing up?

Buck: He looks up from his phone and is slightly confused. Couldn't sleep. Why are you up? He motions for me to join him on the couch.

Eddie: I sit next to him cautiously. Same here. He nods and avoids looking at me. Buck, can we talk? Please?

Buck: He looks up at me, surprised. I-I uhhh.. Are you sure that's a good idea?
