Buck's POV:
I woke up from that nightmare, I was heaving for air and drenched in sweat. It took my eyes a minute to adjust the setting around me, but once they did, I noticed I was in the bunk room. I noticed I was laying in Eddie's bed, but he was nowhere nearby. I took a minute to fully calm myself from that stupid nightmare before getting up. I walked out into the kitchen, and I noticed there was no one there. I decided to call out for everyone. "Uh... Hello?" I walk over into the living room area and see Chimney on his phone.
Chimney: Hey Buckaroo. He waves me over to join him on the couch. The team got a call, so they are out. Maddie took Jee home.
Buck: So, uh... how are you going to get home?
Chimney: Bobby offered to drive me. You just missed everyone they left about... He looks down at his phone. About 10-ish minutes ago.
I nod my head and sit down next to him on the couch. I didn't really say much. I could still feel the effects of that dream. Everything felt so real, I could have sworn my eye still hurt from the guy's punch. I start fidgeting with my hands and look down at the ground, not sure what to say or do.
Chimney: Buck you good?
Buck: I look at him and plaster on a smile. I'm fine.
Chimney: You sure? You're sweating and you seem... nervous.
Buck: I would rather not talk about it...
Chimney nods his head to show his understanding. I'm glad he did because I really didn't want to talk about it at all. That nightmare sucked and I just want to push it deep down behind me. I don't want to think about it anymore. We sat there in silence for a good while bringing up small talk every now and then. Chimney would also show me photos of Jee-Yun every now and then too, which I didn't mind. It was nice finally having her here in this world. She is an adorable baby, and I can't believe she is my niece. Me and Chimney were talking about Chimney's childhood when we heard that familiar back up beeping noise. I walk over to the balcony seeing Bobby backing up the Ladder engine.
I watch as everyone finally piles out of the truck and the ambulance. As soon as Eddie hopped out, I could feel a smile growing on my face. I couldn't help but admire his physic in that uniform. It brought out the muscles in his arms. He really did look hot. I decided to go and meet him in the locker room. I stop in the doorway admiring him as he puts on his shirt... It reminded me of the first time I saw him. I watched as the muscles in his arms and back flexed as he pulled the shirt over his head. I walk over behind him and wrap my arms around his waist pulling him into a hug, the slight smell of smoke in his hair.
Eddie: Looks like someone missed me. He laughed as he turned around and hugged me back.
Buck: Mhm. I rest my head on his shoulder.
Eddie: But I was only gone for about 40 minutes baby. He chuckles, planting a kiss on my cheek.
Buck: That's far too long for me.
Bobby: Okay love birds, dinner is ready. He pops his head in through the door to tell us before walking away again.
I could feel my face heat up, still not fully used to us being out to the entire team. Eddie grabs my hand and we both walk to the table, with everyone already sitting down in their spots. Me and Eddie sit next to each other, each grabbing a plate. Bobby ended up making his famous lasagna, which was delicious as always. I wasn't really hungry as the nightmare popped into my head again. I tried to push it down and eat a little bit of food. I only ended up eating a couple of bites and listening to everyone talking. I got bored and looked over at Eddie who was finished eating and listening to everyone. I decided to mess with him a little bit. I put my hand on his thigh which already brought a small tint of pink to his cheeks.
