"Guys, Alien Gladiators are coming to Mission Creek," Leo says as he walks into the lab where Adam, Bree, Chase, and I are sitting at the console.

Adam gasps loudly. "I knew this day would come. Thankfully, I'm prepared for an alien invasion." He puts on a tinfoil hat. "Chase, you hold them off while the rest of us who deserve to live escape." He grabs Bree and me and we head for the door.

"No, no. Not real aliens. My favorite sci-fi movie franchise...Alien Gladiators." Leo says. "They host annual fan conventions, and this year, it's in Mission Creek."

"I love Alien Gladiators. In the future, rival alien worlds the Morfs and the Zarkanians will battle over control of the galaxy!" Chase says in a dramatic voice.

"Besides all the boring documentaries Chase watches, Alien Gladiators is the only movie he and I actually watch together," I say.

"Oh, yeah. I remember that movie. It was terrible. The whole thing was blurry." Adam says.

"You didn't wear your 3-D glasses," Bree says.

"Well, I didn't wanna look stupid," Adam says as he adjusts the tinfoil hat on his head.

"I bet the entire cast will be there. I have everybody's autograph, except for the new guy playing Prince Landor in the sequel...Andre Ethier." Chase says. My eyes literally popped out of my head when Chase mentioned Andre Ethier. He was my favorite baseball player.

"Whoa, whoa, wait. As in baseball superstar Andre Ethier?" Bree says.

"Since when do you care about baseball?" I say.

"I love baseball. You know, with the bases and...the ball." Bree says. I just rolled my eyes at her and crossed my arms. "Okay, whatever. Andre Ethier's cute, and if he's there, I'm there." She's not wrong. I always found Andre Ethier to be very handsome.

"Me too. I have to meet him and get his autograph. He is like my favorite baseball player ever." I say.

"The convention is going to be awesome. They're bringing back the fire staff challenge." Leo says.

"What's a fire staff?" Adam asks.

"This..." Leo says as he grabs a fire staff from the console. "Is a fire staff."

"Looks like a stick with lights," Adam says.

"It's a fire staff," Leo shouts. "Competitors battle each other with their own fire staffs, and the winner gets a walk-on role in the next movie. And that winner is going to be me." He tries to spin the fire staff but accidentally hits himself in the face with it.

"Greetings, good Morfs." Mr. Davenport says, walking into the lab wearing a robe and holding a fire staff.

"What are you doing?" Leo says.

"Getting ready for the Alien Gladiator convention." Mr. Davenport says. "I am Elder Lumina. And Elder Lumina will be victorious in the fire staff challenge."

"Look, Elder-ly Lumina, I hate to get your robe in a bunch, but that role is mine," Leo says.

"That's cute. But I've loved these movies my entire life, and winning that role will fill my biggest childhood dream, so..."

"I think childhood dreams expire once you hit forty," Leo says.

"Oh, all right, out of the way, micro morf." Mr. Davenport says. He starts spinning his staff, making us back away. "Still think I'm too old to compete?"

"I don't know what was more amazing, your moves or the fact that your dentures didn't fall out," Leo says, making Mr. Davenport chase Leo out of the lab.
