once i had gotten back to the hospital, it was the evening. so i placed my bags in the staff room.

dr. han was sat at a table, he looked at me as i entered.

"...hey, dr. han. how'd the session with felix go?" i asked.

"...oh, i don't think it went that well... he looked really upset, so i think you should stay away from him for a bit..." he replied.

i raised my eyebrow in confusion, "...stay away from him? but why?"

the doctor just shrugged.

i sighed, leaving the staff room and walking towards felix's room.

i knocked on the door, "felix...?"

there was no answer.

i knocked on the door again, "hey.. felix? are you alright..?"

still nothing.

instead of waiting for a response, i just entered the room.

felix was sat up in his bed, he didn't even look at me.

i just stood there for a second, "felix...? what's going on?"

the duck ignored me.

"please just-" "don't talk to me." i was harshly cut off.

i felt my heart drop a bit when he spoke to me like that.

i didn't know what to say or how to feel.

"i'm sorry- but did i do something wrong?..." i was confused on why he was acting like this.

i spoke again, "look- if i've done something, you can tell me..."

"just fuck off already will you?" felix responded.

"i-" i was shocked.

my heart ached.

"felix, why are you acting like this?"

"what do you mean?"

"you just told me to fuck off!"

"yeah well take my advice, i was doing just fine without you here."

"but i'm your nurse...?"

"that doesn't mean you have to be around me all the time."

"what has gotten into you?"

"you should be spending time with your loved ones instead of your patient."

"I DON'T WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH ANYONE ELSE!" i shouted.

felix looked at me in shock.

"did you just... raise your voice at me? ME? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CARING NURSE HWANG???"

i said nothing.

"HUH? ANSWER ME YOU DICKHEAD!-" "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT ME TO SAY?!?!?!" i cut him off.

"JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GET OUT! I'M TIRED OF YOUR BULLSHIT!" felix shouted back.

i froze, "why... why are you doing this...?"

the boy just ignored me.

"i've spent every day, every hour, every minute, every single SECOND of the past month being there for you. just WAITING for you to actually be appreciative for once! but no, you haven't said ANYTHING! and now you're just screaming at me for a reason YOU WON'T EVEN FUCKING TELL ME!" i clenched my fist, feeling anger take over.

"I'M AT MY BREAKING POINT FELIX, I'VE BEEN SO STRESSED OUT ALL BECAUSE OF YOU. SO IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO CARE FOR YOU ANYMORE JUST SAY IT!" i started, "JUST SAY IT AND I'LL LEAVE YOU! YOU'LL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN IN YOUR LIFE!"
