TWENTY-TWO:
RESCUED

That night was one of the best Elsie had in a while. She was used to civilized dinners and proper conversation, but with the Weasleys nothing was organized. It was like a chaotic tornado of fun.

It wasn't that Elsie didn't enjoy dinners with her family, but after a while they could get pretty dull.

After a delicious meal of roast beef and potato's they had all been sent to bed.

Ginny was a sweet girl, a bit hesitant to conversation at first, but once Elsie told her about her love of music Ginny had been more than willing to share some of her favorite bands with her. Elsie had promised that once they got to school Elsie would come visit her in her dorm and show her some of the best Muggle music.

After talking for a while Ginny eventually fell asleep. Elsie waited a couple more minutes to make sure before she checked her watch and saw that it was almost midnight.

Elsie carefully stood from the mattress laid out on the floor and crept for the door, wincing when she hit a creeky floor board.

Luckily she was able to exit the room without waking Ginny, now she just had to make it down the stairs and to the kitchen.

However before she could make a move for the stairs, three figures came into sight. Elsie about had a heart attack before realizing it was only the twins and Ron.

She was about to ask what they were doing but was cut off by Ron covering her mouth. He violently shook his head and pointed to the window on the other side of the hall.

Elsie scrunched her face in confusion before licking Rons palm causing him to release her face with a disgusted expression.

Wondering why they weren't going to the kitchen, Elsie wordlessly followed behind the twins as they headed towards the window.

Fred held a finger to his lips and slowly pulled the window open, letting out a sigh of relief when it didn't make any noise.

George went first, he swept his legs out the window and into the night air before letting go and free falling into a giant pile of hay. Elsie's mouth dropped in shock as she realized what she was expected to do; literally jump out of a window.

Fred saluted the two before following after his brother, landing softly in the hay.

Ron turned to her expectantly, offering a hand to get up on the window. Elsie nervously thought about what Mrs. Weasley would say if she caught them, but then she thought of Harry and how unlike him it was to ignore their letters. He needed their help.

So Elsie excepted Rons hand and climbed through the window. She bit down on her lip to keep from crying out as she pushed off from the window and fell down and into the hay.

The fall didn't last very long, but in the short amount of time Elsie was transported back to when she and her friends fell into the Devils Snare. What followed after was awful...

Shaking the memory off Elsie stood and brushed the hay off her pajama pants before moving so that Ron could follow.

The boy jumped as soon as he had room, giving Elsie the impression that this wasn't his first time jumping out a window.
