Grace sat at the desk in her room, humming to herself with the biggest shade of red on her cheeks. Yes, he was masked, but he was so sweet.
Spider-Man was respectful, and made sure she got home safely. She was glad her parents weren't going to be home tonight, or else they would of been so worried.
When he helped her through her window, their faces were so close. They almost touched. And while webslinging almost made her puke at first, but then she liked it.
It felt like she was flying, and she deeply hoped she would see Spider-Man again. He saved her life.
Grace threw on pajamas and fell asleep happy.

All eyes were on Grace when she walked through the halls of Midtown High. Apparently, her being rescued by Spider-Man made it on the news. She figured that out when her mom came home early, frantically making sure she was ok.
There was live security camera footage at the time, which is how the story was shown on the news.
Some girl she had never even spoken to, tapped her on the shoulder. "Are you ok after what happened last night? That looked scary."
"Yeah, thanks for asking."
Grace wasn't used to this much attention. She wasn't sure if she liked it, or hated it. It made her feel important, but she also couldn't walk past anyone without being stared at.
Peter was the next person to ask her the same question she was being asked all day.
"Are you ok?"
Grace liked the way the words rolled off his tongue better. Everyone else's questions seemed as if they asked like it was a chore. Peter sounded genuinely concerned and compassionate.
"Yeah-"
Peter cut her off by pulling her into a tight hug. She felt her stomach twist into a million little knots. His touch made her thrive.
"You're so good to me, Pete."
"Anytime, Gracie," he said with a little squeeze to her hand before walking away.
Times like this made Grace think Peter liked her back. He was the sweetest to her, but maybe she was overthinking it and she acted this way to everyone.
But she liked to believe he gave her special treatment.

The rest of the week was a blur. There were some cute moments between her and Peter still, but there were also some with Mj and Peter. It made Grace question if she even had a chance.
She still hadn't seen Spider-Man since their first encounter, and she was quite disappointed. She had nothing planned for the weekend either besides getting her nails done with Betty.
Grace finished cleaning her room, and she looked at it proudly. It hadn't been this clean in months. She called Peter out of boredom, but he didn't answer.
He was probably busy with his "Stark Internship", or whatever that was. Unless one of them brought it up, he never really spoke of it.
Grace knew that if she worked with Tony Stark, she would be talking about it constantly. I mean you're working with a superhero and billionaire, what isn't there to brag about?
She hoped Peter would call her back.
