Grace had no idea what was in store for her when she entered Midtown High that Monday morning. She didn't expect to see people snapping pictures by Peter Parker's locker.

But she quickly discovered why. He had just planted a kiss on Mj's lips. Grace swore she felt her body go limp.

Her breathing stopped. When? Why? Did Peter ever even like her?

She thought there may have been sparks flying between them, but maybe she was wrong. Ned stood off to the side, silently cheering Peter on.

They broke apart, and so did the crowd. Grace decided to ignore them, and she sped past as fast as she could.

She had never been so jealous of someone in her entire life. Never. There was nowhere to go that Peter wasn't. Grace had nearly every class with him, and Mj happened to be in most of those classes too.

She ran to the bathroom, locking herself into a stall and beginning to cry a bit. She had no chance with Peter anymore.

And now Grace finally knew for sure that he didn't like her in the way she liked him. That's what she was to him. A friend.

When it came time for lunch, Grace convinced Betty to sit with her on the other side of the cafeteria for today.

She really didn't want to, but she agreed to do this for her friend for just one day. A lunch tray slammed down next to her, but she was still lost staring at Peter.

Grace discovered that Mj took her seat next to him.

"Didn't you hear? Mj and Peter are together," Flash said with a smirk.

He noticed her staring. "I know. What's it to you, Flash?"

She sounded rude, but she didn't care today.

"You're staring. I mean I think you can do a lot better. C'mon, Parker? Really?"

Betty looked at the two awkwardly. "I'm going to the bathroom," she whispered into Grace's ear.

She looked at the boy in front of her, unsure what to say. "Like who?"

He had been waiting to say this. "Me."

"Uh, I don't know, Flash."

Grace didn't really have any interest in him. He was rumored to be one of the biggest players in her grade. He was so desperate for a girlfriend that he wouldn't stop until he's tried getting with every girl in the school.

And of course, Flash hated Peter. He would do anything to annoy him or be better than him. Maybe he was using her just for that.

"Why not? I mean if Parker's not into you, why don't you move on?"

He was beginning to get annoying. "I don't like Peter!" Grace lied.

The rest of the lunch consisted of Flash and Grace going back and forth about her liking Peter. She ended up giving into one of Flash's requests, which was giving him her number.

Grace just did that in hopes to shut him up for the day.

Grace scrolled through her phone, when her jealousy got to her. She clicked on Mj's profile on Instagram, looking at each and every one of the pictures she posted.

Mj was beautiful. And her captions for her post were brilliantly funny and fitting. She could see why Peter liked her.

But she still couldn't see what was much different about her. Yes, Grace and Mj looked different and had different personalities, but they were both similar in many ways.

Was Grace just that annoying and unimportant to him? She knew she was overthinking it, but a few small tears still managed to escape from her dark brown eyes.

Her cries were interrupted by the sound of her window creaking open.
