Grace waited a bit before she went outside. She didn't want Peter to know that she was going against her word.

The carnival truly looked like so much fun. It was full of lights, rides, and laughter. She realized that Betty and Ned must of also snuck out of the Opera, because Grace spotted them on the Ferris Wheel together.

She became anxious about this whole situation herself, not wanting her friends to get hurt. And she didn't want Peter to get hurt.

Everything seemed normal until smoke started rising all around. And then the bricks on the ground cracked open, molten lava pouring out.

Grace stumbled back, gasping along with the rest of the crowd.

The statue that was in the middle of the carnival became infused with magma, and slowly began to come to life.

Fire and lava went everywhere, as the statue fully became a molten monster, roaring and looking around at the people intimidatingly.

Grace was horrified. It was already bad enough experiencing this in Venice.

Everyone was running and screaming as the monster began to stomp around, destroying everything in it's path.

Grace breathed heavily, suddenly wishing she stayed inside that theater. She was now running for her life, hoping that this monster would just disappear and everyone would be safe.

Suddenly, Mysterio appeared in the chaos, glowing green energy flowing from his hands.

Not long after he appeared, someone else followed.

Grace knew it was Spider-Man right away. Peter was wearing the black stealth suit version of his superhero costume that the blonde girl gave him back in Austria.

A part of her calmed down when she realized Peter was here. She felt safe with him.

He shot a web at the molten monster, and then swung to safety. Mysterio shot a blast of energy at the monster, followed by another web.

The monster melted, seeming to be gone for a moment. But it wasn't. Instead he was getting bigger.

Grace could hear Betty and Ned shouting for help from the Ferris Wheel. "Night Monkey, help?"

Grace was confused at what her best friend was calling him, but she was still a panic. Peter and her friends were all in serious danger. And so was she and all of the other bystanders.

She watched hopefully as her crush and Mysterio fought the gigantic monster.

The monster was heading towards the Ferris Wheel, but Peter shot a web at the monster, suddenly hitting something else and sending something flying in Grace's direction.

Grace wasn't quite sure what it was, but she figured it might be important. So, she picked it up and put it in the small bag she was carrying.

She was relieved when Peter rescued her friends from the Ferris Wheel. The monster had left them alone, but she quickly realized the monster was heading towards her.

Grace screamed, not sure what to do at all. There was a gigantic lava monster as tall as a skyscraper chasing her, a powerless tiny human.

Before it could even attempt to attack her, someone grabbed her and swung away in the opposite direction.

When Grace opened her eyes, she saw Spider-Man's mask. He was stuck to the side of a building, her tucked tightly in his arms.

She smiled and let out a sigh of relief. Her fear was minimal when she was in his arms.

"You saved me, Peter. I-I was so scared."

There were a few tears rolling down Grace's cheeks.

"Baby, you're safe now, alright? Shh."

The pale color on Grace's face from fear suddenly turned into a blushing red color.

Peter swung down the ground, gently sitting Grace down in the safest spot there was in all of this.

"I'll be back, I promise."

Peter left her to finish fighting off the lava monster. Mysterio gave him a small nod and then flew over to the monster, using all of his power to destroy it, leaving him collapsed on the ground.

However, the monster was gone, and Peter was safe.

The whole carnival was destroyed.

People came out from their hiding spots, beginning to cheer for Mysterio and Spider-Man.

As soon as Peter knew Mysterio was ok, he returned to Grace. His mask was off, which was risky knowing bystanders could see him.

"Are you ok?"

Grace nodded. "I am. Because of you."

He seemed worried. Really worried.

"I told you to stay inside, Gracie. If I didn't get there in time, I-I could of lost you."

Grace frowned, now feeling bad that she didn't listen to him. The concern in his eyes was real. He cared about her so much; just as much as she cared about him. How didn't she see this before?

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay," Grace whispered.

His hand grabbed hers. "I'm okay. I'm okay because you're ok. You're my whole world, Gracie."

Their lips touched again. This was really the most dream-like days of Grace's life. Peter was the sweetest, and so passionate. Passionate when talking to her, and passionate when kissing.

She loved him so much.
