The class had arrived in Prague, and they had been there for a while. They were all assigned their own hotel rooms, so unfortunately Grace couldn't spend her night with Betty.
A curfew was set, but even Mr. Harrington knew no one would follow it. Everyone would want to hang out with each other, maybe even to celebrate the fact that they survived the attack in Venice.
Grace wished she was in Paris, but she found Prague pretty cool. The hotel was nice, and the whole surrounding area was too.
There was supposed to be a big celebration tomorrow that they could all take place in.
Grace was still thinking about what happened with Peter. Was he hooking up with that blonde girl? Why did he have a black Spider-Man suit? Was he Spider-Man or was he telling the truth?
She sat on her bed in confusion, trying to figure out what was happening within the chaotic class Europe trip.
Grace would have forgotten her hotel room had a window if she didn't heard a loud bang on it. She rushed over to it, opening it to see a familiar sight.
It was Spider-Man, in his red and blue spandex suit. Not the black one Peter had with him earlier. Maybe this meant Peter was telling the truth?
But if anything, this seemed like a confirmation that Peter was Spider-Man. Spider-Man lived back in New York, why would he follow her class to Europe if he wasn't someone in her class?
And there was only one person in her class who could be Spider-Man at this point. Peter.
"Hey, Gracie."
Grace closed the window, staring at Spider-Man. Did he think she was stupid? She knew it was Peter almost for sure.
"Why are you in Europe?"
"I came just to see you. I've really missed you."
"Don't lie."
He froze, and Grace realized his hands were touching her waist. "Lie about what? I don't lie to you."
"I know it's you, Peter," Grace whispered.
"No, no, no- it's not."
Even their voices were the same. His voice always sounded familiar; why didn't she realize it until now?
"After so many other things and what happened today, I know Peter. And no one in their right mind would travel to Europe to see their half-girlfriend just because she was gone for two days."
Spider-Man didn't seem to be paying attention to the actual problem. "Are you my girlfriend?"
"I-I don't know. You're avoiding me confronting you. Peter, you're Spider-Man. Just take the mask off."
He sighed and took his mask off. His mask went onto the hotel bed, and Peter's fluffy brown hair sprung out. Peter's face was looking back at her, his body covered in his Spider-Man suit.
This felt so wrong. This felt fake. Grace had guessed it, but she wasn't one hundred percent sure that he was Spider-Man.
And it felt so surreal to see him wearing the suit of the superhero she had been seeing.
All along, they had been the same person. Grace had been stressing out about which one to be with, but they had been the same person all along.
She wasn't sure if she should be hurt or happy. All she was right now was shocked. Grace never imagined the sweet innocent boy from her school being a cocky superhero who saved the city.
Grace was happy about one thing; she didn't have to choose. Peter and Spider-Man were the same person.
But she was hurt. Peter had been lying to her all of this time. He never told her about this, despite her being one of his best friends.
He began to flirt with her as Peter and began to take her out on dates. And then Peter began to see her and kiss her as Spider-Man. He made her question who she loved and he played with her heart.
It made sense why Grace allowed herself to love someone other than Peter. Because he was Peter. She was right all along; she could never love someone other than Peter Parker.
"I-I," Grace stuttered, unsure what to say.
"I'm sorry. I just really like you, Gracie."
Peter was moving closer every second, and Grace's heart couldn't stop beating fast. She was terrified, and nervous.
Her longtime crush was her new "boyfriend". And he was telling her he liked her.
"Peter, it's been you all this time..."
"Yeah. I know I shouldn't of kept it from you."
Grace breathed heavily. "You kissed me. Multiple times."
"I did. In the hotel back in Venice, you said you liked it, right?"
Peter got nervous when Grace didn't respond right away. "I didn't mean to be weird. But I really enjoyed kissing you."
"I did too. And I really like you Peter, don't get me wrong. But this is all so... I was seeing you as Peter and Spider-Man, and I was kind of in a love triangle with the same two people."
Grace looked back at the cute boy. "And wait, that meant you were seeing me as Spider-Man while you were dating MJ."
Peter smiled a little bit, but also looked guilty. "It was never MJ. It was always you, Gracie. It's always been you."
Grace was still a bit upset, but her feelings for Peter were too strong. "I liked you first. Almost ever since we met," she whispered.
Peter smirked. "Not quite. I did too. Ever since I first laid eyes on you."
"Then what are you waiting for?"
Peter was a bit confused.
"Kiss me."
Peter and Grace's lips went against each others, their bodies pushing up against the others, Grace's hands getting tangled in Peter's soft hair.
He smelt heavenly, and he tasted good too. They were kissing even more passionately ever second, and it was like they were waiting their whole lives to do this.
Technically, they had made out before. But never as their true selves. Peter was Spider-Man, and half of his face was covered. Now they could truly appreciate every little detail about each other.
Now Peter's hands were traveling upward on Gracie's body, and Grace was fully invested in him.
She noticed the tiniest things about him. Freckles that she never saw before. The way he was nervous but tried to hide it with cockiness.
Grace's hands held Peter's face, and everything just felt right. She couldn't stay mad at him.
They eventually broke apart, breathing heavily and staring into each other's eyes. "I-I should go," Peter said softly.
"But Peter, there's still so much you have to tell me. There's so much we have to talk about."
"Tomorrow," Peter promised, before web-slinging away.
Grace sat on her bed once again, unsure what to think.
First of all, she had just made out with Peter again. But this time it was different. They were really connected, and everything about them being together made perfect sense.
They were perfect for each other. She felt the sparks between them.
And Grace wanted more. She wanted to kiss him again and again.
At the same time, Grace was pissed at him. Peter kept this a secret all along, and he just left right after the kiss ended, saying he would tell her everything tomorrow.
He was hiding something, and she knew it. But then again, did it really matter in her heart at this moment? Peter Parker had just said he liked her and kissed her!
