"You know, I can't believe you convinced me to go webslinging," Grace laughed as her and Peter walked hand in hand through the streets of New York City.

Peter smiled, his Spider-Man suit now in the bag he brought with him. The Daily Bugle already recognized the fact that Spider-Man seemed to bring someone else webslinging with him.

However, J. Jonah Jameson seemed to be stuck on the fact that Spider-Man killed Mysterio for no good reason. Many people didn't believe that Mysterio was still a fake.

It made some sense to Grace. Everything about Mysterio seemed so real; especially his powers and him fighting the Elementals.

But she had seen everything with her own eyes. She was held hostage by him. People needed to see the truth in Mysterio.

Peter would never kill for no reason. He had confessed that he didn't even mean to kill Beck in the first place. He just died from his wounds.

"You've got to get used to it, Gracie. I mean Spider-Man's your boyfriend."

Grace giggled. "I don't think I'll ever need to go webslinging again unless I'm in danger."

"How else do you think you're going to get back to your apartment?"

Grace realized that she probably would have to go webslinging again. "I'll walk."

"That's a pretty far walk."

"I'll call a taxi then, Pete."

Peter's face was a strong look of disproval. He shook his head. "I don't want you to take a taxi. Yknow, it could be dangerous."

"Ok, sure... I don't remember taxis being dangerous, but I guess I'll have to go back with you."

Peter wore a victory smile. The two arrived in front of the Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop. It was the place MJ got a job at.

Both of them were hungry that morning, and it was right by where they were walking.

"MJ would appreciate us visiting," Grace told Peter, suddenly really happy that she ended up figuring things out between her and MJ.

"Are you sure you're ok with it? Since she's my ex and all?"

"MJ and I are good now, Peter. Although it killed me that she kept us apart, I like MJ."

Peter smiled, giving Grace a quick kiss on the cheek. "Nothing will ever keep us apart again, I promise."

Grace felt so warm inside. Peter was hers, and she was his. She wouldn't want it any other way. Peter held the door for her as they walked into the donut shop.

MJ immediately spotted them, giving them a wave. Surprisingly, Ned was already at the donut shop, sitting at a seat with a donut on his plate.

"Hey MJ," Grace greeted.

Peter spotted Ned. "Hey, dude! I didn't think you would be here."

Ned immediately sprung up from his seat. "Peter! Oh my gosh, are you on a date with Grace?"

Grace giggled, realizing her hand was still in Peter's. "I guess you could say that," Peter responded.

"What can I get you guys?" MJ questioned.

"I'd like a coffee please," Peter said.

"Me too. And can I have a donut with purple sprinkles?" Grace asked.

MJ nodded as Peter turned to her teasingly. "You and the color purple."

"What? It makes the donut look a lot cuter!" she defended.

MJ handed them their things as Peter walked forward to pay. "I can pay," Grace whispered.

"I've got it."

Grace wasn't surprised that Peter insisted to pay for the smallest things. She could tell how much he cared about her, and about everyone. He was selfless, and he was brave. He was her hero.

Peter took a seat next to Ned, Grace taking the seat next to Peter.

"Pete took me webslinging. I absolutely hated it," Grace told Ned.

Peter suddenly tensed up. "What if MJ doesn't know yet?"

MJ looked over at the obvious teens. "I know you're Spider-Man, Peter."

"Oh! Was it that obvious?" he stuttered.

"Yep. Why do you think both Grace and I figured it out, loser?"

Grace nodded, laughing. "You aren't the best at keeping secrets."

"Neither are you, Gracie. I could tell you liked me."

"Could not!"

Ned seemed to side with Grace. "He definitely couldn't, dude. He would always call me complaining about how you would probably never like him back."

Grace smirked. "Thanks, Ned."

Peter's face was bright red. "That's true..."

The couple finished their food and drinks, saying farewell to Ned and MJ. They spent almost the whole day shopping in New York and enjoying their time together.

It was eventually dark out, leaving a very scenic view for them to walk through. The buildings were lit up, and it was just them.

Normally, these streets would be crowded. But Peter and Grace were on a balcony where no one happened to be.

As Grace looked into Peter's eyes, she knew how lucky she was. Peter was everything she needed in every way possible.

Their lips touched. Grace knew she would never tire of this. Every touch between them was one of a kind.

"Gracie, do you know how much I love you?" Peter asked.

"I dunno, three thousand?"

"Three thousand?"

"Yeah, it's a big number, and you said you love me a lot."

Grace was aware of how childish she was being, but she didn't care. She stopped when she realized Peter's expression was fading into a sad one.

"Tony used to say that."

"Tony Stark? I didn't realize you guys were that close."

"Yeah, he was like a dad to me."

"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, Pete."

Peter smiled. "It's alright. I miss him, but now I have you. I wasn't able to protect him because he protected me. But I'll protect you forever, Gracie. And I love you so much."

"I love you, Peter."

Grace knew they were going to make it. Her and Peter forever. The best thing that was ever hers was him.

THE END.
