Grace was just dropped off at Peter's house. She was beyond excited. She wasn't sure what they were going to do, but whatever it was, it didn't matter. She would be with Peter.

She knocked at the door, but it wasn't Peter who answered. It was Aunt May. She looked beautiful, her straight hair just flowing below her shoulders.

"Grace! It's been so long since you've been over."

She gave Grace a small embrace. May was always so sweet, and she was the like the mother Peter never had.

"I'm glad Peter invited me. It's nice to see you, May."

Peter came running from the other room, smiling as soon as he saw Grace. May stepped out of the way and began heading back to the kitchen. "I'll let you two get to it."

"Hey Gracie," Peter greeted with a smile.

"Thanks for having me over."

"Uh, no problem. Want to head to my room?"

Grace blushed and then quickly nodded. They were sitting on the bottom bunk of Peter's bed, just talking and laughing together. Peter was always such good company.

"How's it going with Mj?" she asked.

Peter tensed up a little bit at the subject. He scratched his Ned awkwardly and sighed a bit before looking at Grace with sweet eyes.

"Promise not to tell anyone?"

Grace tilted her head in confusion, but agreed.

"Mj's great, she really is. But I have a problem..."

Grace's heart raced.

"I think I like someone else."

She wasn't sure how to react. She shouldn't get excited; this person could be anyone else in the school.

A part of her felt bad for Mj. Finally ending up with the guy she wants, and then he just decides he likes someone else. But she's been there. With Peter and Spider-Man...

"R-really?"

Peter nodded. His face scrunched up a bit. "I feel terrible... oh my god. Am I a bad boyfriend?"

Grace made a move and put her hand on top of his to comfort him. She was happy that she had a chance, but she wasn't happy that he was so upset about his conflicted feelings.

"No. Pete, it's ok. You can't control your feelings. But you have to tell Mj how you really feel."

It felt so weird to give advice about this. At least for Grace. Peter's hand rubbed against hers.

"Thank you so much. Gracie, you're such a good friend."

That felt like a smack to the face. Grace really thought the girl was her, but it didn't seem to be. That's what she was. A good friend.

"You mean so much to me Peter."

She could almost feel the heat radiating off his cheeks. "I do?"

Grace nodded. The door flew open. "Dinner! Peter, do you want Grace to stay for dinner-"

May stared at the two teenagers. They didn't realize it, but they looked like they were together in a way.

They were sitting on Peter's bed, hand-in-hand, staring longingly into each other's eyes. They looked like they were in love.

"I didn't mean to interrupt anything," May said awkwardly.

"Ummm, you weren't."

"Yeah," Grace agreed.

"Do you want to stay for dinner, Gracie?"

Grace nodded at her crush. "Sure. Thank you."

They hopped off the bed almost in sync, following May into the kitchen. They took their seats, Grace slowly eating her food. She was a bit busy staring at Peter.

"This is great, May," Grace complimented.

"You're the sweetest, Grace. Peter I can see why-"

Peter stared May down.

"I can see why you and Peter are good friends!"

May didn't seem like that's what she intended to say. Peter was more relaxed now, but Grace looked at the two suspiciously.

They continued to all eat, talking about their days, school, and whatever came to mind. Peter and Grace's seats weren't far from each other. Grace felt something touch her hand under the table.

She glanced down, and saw Peter's hand brushing against hers. She looked up at him and he was smiling so big.

Grace took his hand in hers, and felt the butterflies rise.

When it was time to leave, she didn't want to. But she hugged Peter a goodbye, and thanked him for having her.
