Tour and Addiction

Dave put both Lily and his bag in the tour bus, Lily following him into the bus. The album came out a month ago, and now Megadeth was going on tour. The album really skyrocketed more than Dave expected it to and now concerts were being sold out. He was ecstatic about it and his mood was really boosted. Dave was able to convince his manager to let Lily go on tour with them but honestly he was going to bring her whether his manager agreed or not. He was happy he didn't have to put up a big fight for it though. He didn't feel safe leaving her alone when he would be out of state and out of country. He just prayed she wasn't too bored having to spend all her time with him.

Lily sat next to Dave swinging her legs over his lap as she laid down on the couch, "How far is Oakland from here?" She asked quietly as the other guys got on the bus unpacking their things, "It's about 6 or so hours from here, there are beds on the bus if you want to lay down." Lily shook her head, "Maybe if I get sleepy enough later I will." Dave rubbed her thigh with his thumb squeezing her thigh lightly. Mike was fired and Chris came back to the band for the tour, Lily met him once before they went on tour but Dave said that he used to be the guitarist before they hired Mike and apparently Chris was working at Denny's after he left Megadeth. Chris seemed nice and mostly stayed to himself because he didn't want to cause any trouble since he wasn't technically back in the band but according to Dave, Chris's heroin addiction was as bas as Gar's.

When they got to the venue Dave lightly shook Lily's leg waking her up, she groaned and rubbed her eyes before she sat up, "We're here, I need my legs back so I can go set up." The bus was empty of people now, Lily smiled and moved her legs so he could get up, "Sorry for falling asleep on you." She said standing up and putting on her shoes, Dave grabbed his guitar and jacket before they left the bus together. Lily was holding Dave's hand, she was practically falling asleep as they walked, she needed something to wake her up. Lily stopped abruptly, "I forgot something on the bus, go set up I'll be there in a minute." Dave nodded and kept walking toward the stage. Lily got on the bus and grabbed her bag, she rummaged through it and found the little baggy of powder she brought with her. Dave didn't know how bad her addiction was getting, she started bumming herion off of people at the parties they went to and she started buying coke for herself. Usually she would just buy line from people at parties but now she needed her own. She stuffed the baggy in her pocket and grabbed her cigs, lighter, and her sunglasses.

Lily went into the bathroom and shut the door, she grabbed a credit card out of her wallet and dumped some of the powder onto the sink countertop. She pushed the powder into a thick line. Lily rolled up the dollar she had in her wallet and inhaled the powder through her nose, sighing as she took it in. She smiled happily letting the buzzing static sound coke cause to fill her head with pleasure. "Fuck..." she sighed. A knock came from the bathroom door and Lily's eyes widened. She grabbed the baggy and stuffed it back into her pocket brushing away any powder that could be left on the sink. "Hold on!" She yelled, wiping the card off and putting the bill and card back in her wallet. Lily opened the door, her face a little red from stress. Chris was standing at the door, "Hey, sorry. I didn't mean to bother you, I just don't want to use the crappy porta potties the venue supplies so I thought I'd use the bus's bathroom." His words kind of trailed off in Lily's head, she was staring up at Chris, dead faced. She couldn't understand almost anything he was saying, "Cool." was the only thing she could think to say that wouldn't make it sound like she only caught 2 words. "She's all yours!" Lily swung the door open and kind of tumbled out of the bathroom past Chris. She shivered a little, pulling herself together, leaving the bus and going backstage. She put her sunglasses on, thankfully it was bright so it was a good excuse to cover her reddening eyes. Lily found a little table to sit at while she waited for them to finish up.

When they were done Dave walked off stage his guitar still wrapped around his body, Lily smiled warmly staring at him, "Hi handsome! You sounded and looked really good!" Dave leaned over the table and kissed Lily slowly, she kissed him back gently. "Do you want to go get lunch with the band before the gig?" Lily thought for a moment, she was doing mental jumping jacks, 'If I act weird he's going to know I'm on something stronger than just weed. If I don't go he's going to worry I'm not okay.' "That sounds good!" Lily smiled, giggling happier than usual. Dave caught notice of her strange behavior. Usually she wasn't this happy unless she was high.
