Nobody's POV

Randy Jade was used to crashing on random people's couches. More recently, it had been his old friend Oliver's couch. He didn't mind, though. The short blonde was fun to hang around. Always energetic and ready for adventure, just the right amount of dumbass to make bad decisions from time to time, and handsome to top it all off. Oliver Swift had it all. No wonder Randy fell for him. As Randy sat at the far right of the small sofa watching Oliver attempt to beat a Mario level, his eyes kept wondering from the TV to the player himself.

Oliver sat in a loose tank top, a beanie instead of his usual fez, and a blanket over his lap with his cat curled up on the arm of the sofa to his left. Randy couldn't help but admire all his little features. The miscellaneous bruises and scratches sprinkled on Oliver's body, his septum piercing, the eyepatch he used to cover up his bad eye, the freckles dotted around his emerald green eyes...why was he doing this? Why was he so caught up in the dude he's mooching off of. It's bad enough that he's sleeping on the guys couch, and now this? Phone-god, what was wrong with him.

But still, Randy couldn't help but move closer to his roommate. Oliver seemed to notice, but didn't say anything. He just kept making small talk. Or at least, small talk for Oliver of all people.

"No wonder this game wasn't released to Americans until '93, this is so fucking stupid! I mean, why did they have to design it like this!? That platform is so fuckin' far away, how am I s'pposed to do th- oooooooh wait you step on the- ah. That's what was wrong."

It was pretty funny to watch, even though Randy knew full well if he tried the game, he'd struggle just as much as Oliver was. After a few more deaths, Oliver let out a groan and turned the Wii off, then turned to his friend on the couch.

"Welp. I'm about done for today. What do you wanna do?"

"Me? I mean, I don't know, it's your house. Wanna watch one of those sitcoms you like?"

"If that's what you want, then of course! Think of it as my apology for you having to watch me struggle at that game for the second time this week."

Oliver changed the TV setting back to normal and turned the channel to some random sitcom. Some girl was crying to her best friend about an ex or something. Randy struggled to follow the show given how terrible the plot development was. His eyes kept wondering back down to the blonde man. Why was he this...interested in him? Surely he had better things to d-

"Dude, you're staring."

Randy snapped back to reality and realized he had in fact been just awkwardly staring at the top of Oliver's head.

"Oh jeez, I-I'm so sorry -"

"I'm not complaining, though. If you like what ya see, just let me know~"

"Heh, and what if I do?"

Oliver laughed and put an arm around Randy's shoulder. Randy leaned in closer, and the two were meer inches apart. Oliver looked up at the tall man and smiled. Randy turned and smiled back. They went back to watching the show but kept sneaking glances at eachother. While both were still trying to find a way to contemplate how they felt, Randy kissed the top of Oliver's head. Randy sat back, murmuring an apology, but Oliver grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for a proper kiss on the lips. What lasted maybe 10 seconds was the best thing Randy had ever felt. I mean, a real human who was actually attracted to him? He didn't think such a thing existed.

When they pulled apart, Oliver chuckled and pushed his hair out of his face. He turned back to the TV and laid on his side. Randy laid next to him. Oliver turned to where his head was on the sofa's armrest and Randy was basically laying on top of him in between his legs with his head on Oliver's collarbone and his arms wrapped around Oliver's torso. Oliver played with Randy's shaggy brown hair and hugged the man closer to him, gently kissing him every now and then. Randy did the same, planting gentle kisses on Oliver's chin and neck. Both didn't have a fucking clue how to explain what was going on, but both enjoyed it.

"Heh, I love you, ya dork."
