'It is a great honor to be in the nights watch the starks have served it for thousands of years and you are a stark.' Ned told Jon, 'you might not have my name but you have my blood.''

''Is my mother alive? Does she know about me? Where I am where I'm going? Does she care?' jon questioned hopelessly.

''Next time we see each other we will talk about your mother.' Ned promised. Jon stared at him as he moved to Rieka hugging her tight. "Miss you already, you sure you dont want to come south right now?"

"I want to convince Jon this is stupid." Rieka corrected.

"Okay." Ned agreed softly. "You be careful and..." he sighed pulling a dagger from his cloak. "I had this made for you." She looked at the engraving on the blade and the direwolf on the hilt.

"Winter is coming." She read off the blade. "Daddy this is beautiful!" she declared hugging him again. "Thank you."

"You are... my first girl, my baby, you come back home to me." Ned begged.

"I promise." Rieka agreed kissing his cheek. "I will be a moon behind you." she offered. "Dont have too much fun without me." Ned held onto her and Tyrion and Jon stared at them. Both yearned for that connection with their father. Both knew they would never be that close.

"You can change your mind." Benjen reminded him.

"Not a chance." Jon assured.

"Wait til we get there." Benjen chuckled. "You will be wishing for your cushy beds and the sight of a women within 50 miles."

"No women at all?"

"Not a one." Benjen confirmed. "Except for Rieka." She put a hand under her chin framing her face. "You have to go far and you wont be allowed to leave that far if you want some female companionship."

"Oh. I don't..." jon shook his head.

"Good for you." Benjen told him as they rode. "i will tell you what. Im glad to be having some of my own blood at the wall."

"It's temporary." Rieka reminded him. But they all knew that JOn was stubborn like their father, once something was set in his mind he was going to do it.

"Sit. You'll be fed. Untie them." Benjen instructed.  Rieka settled beside Jon his eyes jumped between the men Benjen was bringing to the wall and Rieka.

'Who are they?' Jon questioned nodding over to the men they were bringing to the wall. Tyrion put his book down looking over at the men then back to Jon and Rieka. He wanted Rieka leaning up against him. He wanted that familiar feeling but while jon was here of course Rieka was going to stick by his side.

'Rapers. They were given a choice no doubt' Tyrion said as three men were untied and brought next to the fire. 'Castration or the wall,' Tyrion told Jon 'most choose the knife...' Tyrion admitted and saw the horrified look on jons face.

"Men and their cocks." Rieka tsked. "Their hands are going to be their best friends until the day they die and yet never see a woman again..." rieka shrugged.

"If you were a man-" tyrion mused.

"I wouldnt be stupid enough to do something worth getting sent to the wall. And if I did do something I wouldnt get caught." Rieka remarked smugly. Jon stared at the men though and Riekas smile fell. "You are not like them Jon. You dont have to take the black." She whispered grabbing his hand.

'Not impressed by your new brothers? Lovely thing about the watch you discard your old family and you get a whole new one.' Tyrion told him, "and you have such a lovey family. Dont worry. I plan on adopting them." He added with a wink rieka smiled back at hom before he went back to his book.

'Why do you read so much?'' Jon pondered.

"I gave him that book." Rieka remarked.

"Trying to impress your sister of course." Tyrion agreed. Jon stared back at him patiently. "Look at me and tell me what you see.' Tyrion asked them.

"What do I see?" Rieka tapped a finger on her chin debating.

'Is this a trick?' Jon asked.

"It definitely is." Rieka agreed. "But I want to answer it."

'What you see is a dwarf." Tyrion remarked.

"Is that what you are? I thought you were just young like Rickon." Rieka teased.

"And you want to marry her." Jon murmured.

"I do." Tyrion agreed. "And If I had been born a peasant they might've left me out in the woods to die." Riekas smile fell as he spoke. "Alas I was born a Lannister of Castlery rock. Things are expected of me. My father was the hand of the King for 20 years-' Tyrion reminded them.

'Until your brother killed that King' Jon remarked

'Yes.' Tyrion agreed 'until my brother killed him.' Jon sighed ''Life is full of these little ironies.' Tyrion went on.  'My sister married the new king and my repulsive nephew will be the king after him.' Jon stared across at him 'But I must do my part for the honor of my house. Wouldn't you agree? But how?' Tyrion asked 'well my brother has a sword and I have my mind and I need books like a sword needs a whetstone, that's why I read so much Jon Snow.' Tyrion told him. 'And you? What's your story bastard?'' Tyrions gaze shifted to Riekas foot tapping against his own her head still leaning into Jon but Riekas eyes on Tyrion.

'Ask me nicely and maybe I'll tell you dwarf.' Jon said calmly. Tyrion laughed lightly.

'A bastard boy with nothing to inherit, off to join the ancient order of the nights watching alongside his valiant brother in arms.' Tyrion told and Jon glanced over at the rapers they had picked up anxiously.

'The nights watch protects the realm from...' jon began.

'Yes yes' Tyrion agreed, '-against grumpkins and snarks. All the other monsters your wet nurse warned you about.' Jon's eyes flickered back and forth, maybe he was making a mistake. Maybe rieka was right and they should turn around.

'You're a smart boy you don't believe that nonsense.' Tyrion told him and Jon looked back over at his new brothers vs the sister he already loved and adored, 'everything is better with some wine in your belly too,' Tyrion said throwing him a pouch. Jon took a long sip. Rieka gave tyrion a pointed look. "I have dwindled back on the wine," tyrion remarked.

"Have you?" Rieka countered.

"Yes. See? I just gave Jon my wine." Tyrion agreed making Rieka laugh out.

'What I'm about to tell you, you cannot repeat anyone else.' Catelyn said to Robb, and Theon. 'I do not think Brandon fell from that Tower I think he was thrown and I believe a Lannister's are involved.' Catelyn told them 'We already have reason to believe they're not loyal to the crown.' Catelyn went on as Robb's mind raced.

'So they come into our home and try and murder my brother.' Robb said through clenched teeth 'if it's war they want-'

'If it comes to that you know I will stand behind you.' Theon added

'war? Is there going to be a battle in the gods wood?' maester lewin countered.  'to easily words of war become acts of war we don't know the truth yet.'

'I will ride to Kings Landing.' Robb offered.

'no I know there must always be a stark in Winterfell.' Catelyn reminded him.

"Rieka went north with Tyrion and Jon." Theon reminded them.

"She will be coming back. Keep her safe until I return."
