"Aw, no." Dale suddenly said, I could feel the RV coming to a stop."See a way through?" He asked Daryl, who drove around on a motorcycle.
"Uh, maybe we should just go back. There's an interstate bypass." Glenn suggested.
"We can't spare the fuel." Dale said.
Dale maneuvered the RV through a traffic jam, trying to find a way to get through. I looked out the window. As we passed the cars I could see dead people through the windows, left in their cars to rot. I grimaced at the sight, turning my attention to my hands.
Suddenly I heard a loud noise up front, I looked out the window to see that the engine had exploded or something.
We all stepped out of the RV, going to look at the engine.
"I said it, didn't I say it? A thousand times. Dead in the water." Dale complained, looking at his engine.
"Problem, Dale?" Shane asked.
"Just a small matter of being stuck in the middle of nowhere. With no hope of--" Dale stopped, looking behind him. "Okay, that was dumb."
"Can't find a radiator hose here..." Shane said.
"There's a whole bunch of stuff we can find." Daryl looked in one of the cars' trunks, rummaging through the stuff.
"I can siphon more fuel from these cars for a start." T-dog volunteered.
"Maybe some water?" Carol suggested.
"Or food." Glenn said.
"This is a graveyard." Lori spoke up. There was a short silence, everyone exchanged looks with one another.
"I don't know how I feel about this." She said.
"All right, all right, here we go. Come on, y'all. Just look around." T-dog instructed.
I searched through the cars, not finding much. I approached a grey Toyota Camry and opened the passenger door. I opened the glove box and looked through it, there was only some brown napkins and an owners manual.
I moved to the middle console, opening the compartment. It only had papers from what I could see, but I rummaged through it anyways. I felt 2 objects and brought them out. One was a multi tool and the other was a black combat knife. I opened the multi tool, it had a small blade and scissors.
I smiled at my finds until I heard someone.
"Reagan, get down!" They whisper yelled.
I turned around to see Glenn and Shane getting under a car. Glenn pointed in my direction and I looked back, there was a shit load of walkers coming right towards us.
"Oh shit-" I dropped down, crawling under the car next to them. I clutched the multi tool and the combat knife in my hands.
My heartbeat picked up as the walkers made their way through the traffic jam. I watched as they all dragged their feet across the road. I held my free hand over my mouth, attempting to stifle my panicked breathing.
There had to be a hundred or so walkers. Right when I thought it was almost over, more kept coming, forcing us to wait even longer.
I brushed my long hair behind my ears so I could see better. The sound of shuffling feet finally stopped and I could no longer see more walkers coming.
A few screams rang through the air. It sounded like-
Sophia.
Shane and Glenn quickly got out from under the car. I crawled out from the car I was under and ran after them. We ran through the maze of cars and quickly got to the rest of the group. Lori was holding Carol back as Rick ran into the woods.
