Thwoosh!

I opened my eyes to see the walker limp in my arms, and an arrow through its head. After processing what had just happened, I quickly pushed the thing off of me.

I got up, breath heaving, my heart racing. I looked in front me to see Daryl lowering his crossbow, eyeing me with a scornful look on his face.

I got up, dusting off the leaves that stuck to my pants. My heart rate began to slow down after my near death experience.

"Oh my God." I breathed, doubling over. Still trying to catch my breath. "It almost got me. One point for you, I guess." I stood back up, throwing my long ponytail over my shoulder.

"You think this is some game?" Daryl seethed. He slung his crossbow over his shoulder and took a step towards me.

"No-- I didn't mean--"

"You almost died." He interrupted me, his tone beginning to grow angrier.

"And it would've been on you! You fucking threw me at it!" I spat back, putting my knife back into the sheath. "You like-- basically just tried to kill me!"

"You wanted to learn, I'm tryna teach ya!" He stepped closer now, the anger in his eyes intensifying. "And you wanna think it's some game!"

I took a step towards him now, not breaking the eye contact. "Sorry I'm not a total grump like you! I try to be positive about everything." I argued. "You almost got me killed and I'm still trying to be nice to you!"

"You don't know how to do nothin' for yourself." He retorted. "Woman, you really think you're gonna survive if you can't even kill one damn walker?" He stepped even closer now. I stood my ground, not daring to take a step back.

"Well maybe if you did a better job at teaching instead of just throwing me at the thing!" I yelled back, looking up at him as he towered over me. He continued looking down at me with that intense gaze.

"You ain't gonna survive much longer. You're already dead." He spat. turning away from me.

"Dumb valley girl." He muttered as he walked away from me, adjusting the crossbow on his shoulder.

I scoffed and followed him from a good distance. He was seriously making me mad. He almost got me killed. And he want's to be the one that's mad. Ironic.

I'm starting to think that's what I'm known as. Just some dumb val who's beneath everyone else. I may look it but I'm not stupid.

I continued to follow Daryl out of the forest. The trees eventually thinned out and we were back on the farm. I saw Dale walking around with his gun on his back. He saw us and began to walk over.

"Hey, I've been looking for you guys-" He tried to talk to Daryl, but he just walked away.

Dale looked to me, I shrugged.

"Why were you guys out there?" He asked me.

"I almost died because of him." I bluntly stated. Dale's eyes widened.

"Okay, let's take a few steps back--"

"Well, it wasn't his intention. He was trying to teach me how to kill a walker." I corrected myself. I walked past Dale and started towards the house. I wasn't in the mood to talk about the whole fiasco right now.

I was helping Maggie make dinner. Andrea and Shane had just returned from outside. Lori was getting worried that Rick hadn't returned yet. I could see Maggie was getting worried too.
