I leaning against the railing on the porch now. I looked beside me to see Glenn approaching."Hey, stud." I joked as he stood next to me. He smiled to himself.
"So, my advice worked or what?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think it did." He said. The front door suddenly opened and Maggie came out.
"There's your girlfriend." I motioned towards her. Glenn walked over to her and they sat on the steps of the porch.
I was picking at my cuticles until I heard a new voice. T-dog.
"Do you know what's going on?" I turned around to see him and Andrea approaching Glenn. He stood up.
"Where is everyone?" Andrea questioned.
"You haven't seen Rick?" Glenn asked.
"He wen't off with Hershel, we were supposed to leave a couple hours ago." Andrea answered.
"Yeah you were. What the hell?" I looked to see Daryl and Carol walking over now.
"Rick told us he was going out." Carol said.
"Damn it. Isn't anybody taking this seriously? We got us a damn trail." Daryl swung his arm.
"Oh, here we go." He walked over to Shane, who was approaching with a duffel bag on his shoulder and a shotgun in his hand.
"S'all this?" Daryl asked, pointing to the bag Shane carried. I then noticed more guns poking out from said bag.
"You with me, man?" He gave a gun to Daryl, he took it. He then walked over to the rest of us. "Time to grow up."
Daryl loaded the shotgun as everyone looked around confused. I looked at T-dog, he shrugged.
"You already got yours?" He asked Andrea.
"Yeah. Where's Dale?" She asked.
"He's on his way."
"Thought we couldn't carry." T-dog said as Shane handed him a smaller gun.
"We can and we have to." Shane answered, approaching the rest of us on the porch.
"Look, it was one thing sitting around here and picking daisies when we thought this place was supposed to be safe. But now we know it ain't." He spoke.
"How about you, man? You gonna protect yours?" He walked towards Glenn, offering him a gun. He looked towards Maggie, before accepting the gun.
"Can you stop?" Maggie spat. "You do this, you hand out these guns, my dad will make you leave tonight."
"We have to stay, Shane." Carl spoke up, walking down the porch steps.
"What is this?" Lori walked over.
"We ain't going anywhere, okay?" Shane told Carl.
"What's goin' on?" Lori asked me, crossing her arms nervously.
"I don't-- I don't know, he just came over here and started handing out guns--" I answered.
"--Hershel, he's just gotta understand, okay? He-- well, he's gonna have to." Shane told us. "Now we need to find Sophia, am I right?"
He knelt down in front of Carl, handing him a gun. "Now, I want you to take this. You take it, Carl. And you keep your mother safe. You do whatever it takes. You know how. Go on, take the gun and do it."
Lori stepped in, putting a hand on Carl and inserting herself between him and Shane.
"Rick said no guns. This is not your call." She spat. "This is not your decision to make."
