Glenn and I were standing on top of the R.V, keeping watch. I looked in front of me, seeing Dale approach the R.V.

"Andrea's looking for you." Glenn told him.

"Thanks, Glenn." Dale spoke.

"Any chance you got an extra hat?"

"Nope." Dale said before taking off his bucket hat and throwing it up to Glenn.

He caught it. "Thanks."

Dale went inside the R.V. I glanced over to Glenn and noticed he wasn't wearing his signature hat like usual.

"What happened to your hat?" I asked.

He turned towards me. "Uh... Maggie cracked an egg on my head."

"Wow. What happened?" I laughed.

"It's not funny." He complained. "She's mad at me 'cause I told everyone about the barn when she told me not to."

I thought for a second. "Talk to her then." He gave me a look.

"You like her, right? Talk to her." I said again. "You did the right thing by telling us, but you also betrayed her trust at the same time. Just talk it out with her and see where things go from there."

"Okay.. I will." He hesitated.

Andrea then walked out of the R.V. Glenn looked down.

"You okay?" He called out to Dale, who was still inside.

"Yeah." Dale answered. "You mind running and getting me some water?"

"Here, take this." Glenn said, handing his rifle to me. "I'll be back."

I took it in my hands, starting to get weary of the weight of the large gun.

"Woah, I don't know how to use this." I told Glenn as he walked over to the ladder on the end.

"You won't have to, I won't be gone long." He said before lowering himself down.

"Whatever."

I watched Glenn's figure gradually grow smaller as he ran towards the house. I saw Rick come out once Glenn got there.

Rick walked over to Shane, briefly talking to him. I looked down at the gun in my hands, examining the features. I kept my hands as far away from the trigger as I could without putting the gun down.

Rick walked away from Shane and looked over to the R.V. Noticing me on top, with the rifle in my hands. I got a little nervous as I watched him make his way over.

"Reagan?" He called out, bringing a hand to his face to shield his eyes from the sun.

"Yeah?" I answered, my voice cracking a bit.

"Where's Glenn?" He asked, obviously weary about the idea of me being the one keeping watch at the moment.

"He wen't inside real quick, he'll be back." I answered, beginning to put the gun down. Rick stood there for a few seconds.

"How about I teach you the basics? Like how to use knives. Then you can move onto guns." He suggested, referring to the other day when I failed miserably at target practice.

"Okay, sounds good." I smiled.

"Would later today be good for you?"

"Yeah. That works for me." I responded.

"Okay. I'll get back to you." He said, turning around and walking away.

This whole having to learn to use weapons thing unsettles me. But I guess I'll have to learn sooner or later.

Glenn came back after that and we continued to talk for a while. We talked more about our lives before and he rambled about some video games I've never heard of.

He also asked me for more advice on how to make things right with Maggie, which I happily helped him.

"S'up?" Glenn suddenly said. I looked down to see Shane entering the R.V below.

"Okay." Glenn said, getting no answer. I looked down again, hearing rummaging and noise coming from inside the R.V.

"What the hell is he doing?" I muttered.

"Shane?" Glenn called out. "You okay?" No response.

Shane came out, looking up to us. "You see where he went?"

"Who?"

"Don't even try to shit me, okay?"

"What?" Glenn asked. Still confused.

"Dale, Glenn." Shane spat, getting frustrated. "Did you see where Dale went?"

"Yeah, he asked me to run and get him some water." Glenn explained.

"And he was gone when you got back, huh?" Shane asked. I didn't even know Dale left, I thought he was still in the R.V.

"I was keeping watch but I didn't even notice he left. Sorry." I spoke up, earning a scoff from Shane.

"Of course." He said under his breath. Rude.

"You think he's okay?" Glenn asked.

"Oh, he's fine."

"Why'd he bail then?"

"So you wouldn't tell me which way he went." Shane answered.

"I don't get it." Glenn said.

"No, man. You don't." Shane muttered, striding away from the R.V.

"He scares me." I said.

"Yeah.. me too." Glenn agreed, sitting down.

"What'd he even do down there?" I asked. I stood up and went over to the ladder, climbing down.

I went inside the R.V. I looked around, Seeing that the mattress had been flipped over and cupboards were opened, various things had also fallen onto the floor.

I sighed to myself, cleaning up Shane's mess.

I flipped the mattress to it's original side and adjusted the sheets. I then bent down, picking up all the stuff Shane had thrown onto the floor. And I closed all the cupboards.

I walked outside and climbed the ladder to the roof. I stood up, dusting off my jeans.

"Shane had like, a little tantrum or something in there." I said to Glenn. He sighed.

Glenn sat on the red chair, holding the rifle and keeping watch. I sat on the floor, undoing my shoelaces to redo them, since they had untied themselves.

I heard Glenn put the gun down and stand up. "Maggie?"

I looked up from my black shoelaces to see Maggie walking by, holding a basket of fruit in her hands.

"Hey." Glenn called out to her, climbing down the ladder of the R.V. Looks like he was gonna put my advice into action.

He walked over to her. "Maggie. Maggie."

I watched as Glenn caught up to her, I noticed her angry steps grow faster. She yelled at Glenn as he tried to reason with her, still walking towards the house.

Glenn stopped her, making her turn around to face them. I couldn't hear their conversation but I continued to watch. He took the basket from her hands and put it on the ground.

Glenn said his piece and began to walk away. Maggie called out to him and he turned around.

She approached him, getting close. Suddenly she put her hands around his face and leaned in, kissing him.

I smiled to myself, seeing Glenn kiss her back.

I looked down at my shoes and finishing tying my laces.

Once I was done I looked back up to see Maggie and Glenn separating. Maggie picked up her basket and began walking to the house.

Glenn turned around, smiling and giving me a thumbs up with both hands before following her.
