Hurokna Fortress: Present Time

The feast, which had originally been one of mourning, had turned into a celebration. One of the most rambunctious ones that Lacina and her daughters have seen in a long time, even the festival of Yulestaran was not even this insane. Insane being the best word to describe the scene before her, wolves drinking wine and beer as if their lives depended on it. The center of that storm was a human, a human they had all thought long dead and passed on to the land of his ancestors. Aleksander stood amongst both the wolves and his own men, laughing and drinking alongside all of them. Despite her best efforts and even those of Horus, the feast itself would not be silenced or ended. Mostly because all of the wolves in one place were so loud, that even their voices were drowned out in the throng of the celebration. Aleksander himself was able to bring the room to a sudden silence, stomping his boot on one of the tables. Lacina was very surprised that he of all people would want silence, as it seemed he was soaking up all the attention he was getting. He pointed to one of his men, who was holding an instrument, who began to play a tune that none of them knew. Aleksander raised the goblet of wine to the his men, all of them stomping their boots in sync with the instrument.

"Wir sind des Geyers schwarze Haufen, Hei a ho ho! Und wollen mit Tyrannen raufen, Hei a ho ho! Spieß voran, drauf und dran, Setzt aufs Klosterdach den roten Hahn!" Aleksander and his pack sing loudly, a near perfect chorus couldn't be asked for. All of them seemed to know the tune by heart and by soul, keeping up with the instrument. Every wolf in the hall listened silently to them as they sang, not only were they brutal fighters but also good singers.
The song came to an end with the men stomping their boots as loud as they could, in tune with the instrument before it ended.
"Es lebe Deutschland! Long live Germany!" His shout is replied by his men, sending up the call as well and even the wolves cheer and yell at the song.

"What song was that Aleksander?!" A dark red and grey female wolf asks, leaning against her mate who was sitting right beside her.

"Ah, a song of our childhood from our homeland. Many of us know it by heart, but it takes time and practice to perfect." He laughs happily, drinking more of his wine before stepping off the table. Shaking heads and clasping forearms with many of the wolves, stepping over to another table he sits down with a sigh. Grabbing some of the steaming hot venison like meat from a platter, then placing it down on a clean plate alongside what looks like potatoes.

"Appears he has entirely changed." Horus remarks to Lacina, watching the entire event from up at the high table. Lacina merely watches Aleks, knowing that hasn't really changed at all.

"I don't think so, I just think he's become more dangerous. Have a messenger sent to the nearest Royal outpost, I want to meet with Sindalla and discuss terms." Horus looks at Lacina after hearing her words, surprised that she would want to discuss terms.

"Terms of what?" He asks, half questioning if he should deny her request depending on what she asks him. Because he can't why she would want to discuss terms of peace, even though no true major conflict between the two packs have occurred yet.

"Terms for them to leave these lands unharmed, you heard Aleksander give his oath of allegiance to me. Meaning that if I want to, I can simply send him and his pack to annihilate any royal army force in the area." Lacina remarks, drinking from her goblet of wine and thinking of all the possibilities of having Aleksander and his pack around could mean.

"You would use him for more bloodshed, mother?" Daniella asks aloud, as all of them heard her words. All of them, especially Tassandra and Frieda, were all staring at their mother in shock.
