You are so brave and quiet, I forget you are suffering.

The familiar sound that my phone makes, tells me someone is calling. Theo and I just came out of the elevator, now walking on the sixth floor of the building I rented myself an apartment.
"Theo," I say as I hold up my buzzing phone, showing him someone is trying to talk to me, and hand him my keys.
He gives me an understanding nod and walks further towards my front door when I look at my phone. It shows a picture of Zoë's face since she's the one who's wanting to talk to me.
"Hello!" I say.
"Hi Shai," Zoë says through the phone.
Suddenly, when hearing Zoë's voice, reality hits me. I left her behind in my apartment before, alone. When Theo called me I went outside to search for him, and I forgot to tell her where I was going.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry," I murmur and bring my left hand towards my forehead. "I totally forgot to tell you."
"Yeah, I figured that out," Zoë says. But she doesn't sound angry at all, not even slightly annoyed. "It's okay though, I knew you needed some time alone with him." Knowing Zoë, she probably has a smirk on that face of hers.
I chuckle. "Zoë! Stop it, there's nothing between Theo and I!"
"Not yet," she replies. And I'm pretty sure that she's smirking right now.
"I'm almost home. Theo is with me, he needs some place to stay tonight," I tell her, ignoring what she just said. At least, I try to ignore it. I'm not really sure it's working, because without knowing, my mouth has formed a smile.
"Oooh," I hear Zoë saying. "You sure he wants only that?"
"Stop it you," I mumble. I know she's only teasing me though, because not a second later she bursts out laughing.
"Sorry, sorry. Don't shoot me," she tells, laughing.
"Are you still in my apartment?" I ask, trying to change the subject to something that's not related to Theo nor my feelings for him.
"No, I left as soon as I figured out that you were gone," she says through the phone, still giggling a bit.
I look up and see Theo struggling to find the right key to open my door. Not that it's that difficult, there are only two keys at the keychain I gave him; one to unlock the door of my apartment and the other one for my mom's car. But still, it seems like he's having a hard time finding the key that fits. A smile appears on my face as I continue to watch him.
"Have you told him yet?" Zoë's voice wakes me up from my thoughts.
I don't bother to ask her what she's talking about, because I know Zoë is trying to mention that I should tell Theo the truth. I should tell him what I feel for him, as soon as possible.
"No." I clear my throat, "No, I haven't told him."
"He deserves to know, Shai," she says and her voice is all seriousness.
"Yes. I know," I reply and see that Theo has found the right key. A sigh escapes my mouth, "But I can't. I can't tell him right now, Zoë."
"Why not? Why can't you tell him?"
Theo points his finger towards the white painted door, which is now open. A big smile planted on his face, like he's just done the most difficult job ever.
