It's been 7 years since Rosa passed and Emlyn is now 7. She has my hair and eyes, she's a real stunner. I've been single for 7 years, just focusing on Emlyn and wanting to be the best dad for Emlyn. Alex told me its ok to date but I want to date to settle down and marriage. I don't want to date for fun anymore considering I have Emlyn to think about.
Today Emlyn is meeting her piano teacher for the first time. Her old piano teacher moved to the US to live with her husband. They do it here and I know Emlyn is excited to meet her. "Daddy! I have to go to school!" said Emlyn. I smile. "Well your fed, dressed.... so lets go" I said, taking her bag.
I put her in the car and she straps herself in. I get in and begin to drive. "Daddy? What's her name?" asked Emlyn. "Your new piano teacher? Her name is Lila" I said. "Nice name" said Emlyn. "It is" I said. We get to the school and we go to the gates. Once the teacher comes out to get the kids, I go to training at Liverpool.
Jordan walks over and smiles at me. "How's Emlyn?" Asked Jordan. "Good, she's happy and I guess I am too. She's meeting Lila, her new piano teacher later" I said, smiling. "They will be great" said Jordan, smiling wide. I smile back and get to work. Once it gets to 2:30, I go collect Emlyn and then drive home.
"Go get changed, sweetie. Lila will be here soon" I said, smiling. "Ok daddy" said Emlyn. I smile and she goes to get changed. I go put the kettle on and take out the milk. I hear the knock on the door and I go towards it. I open it and a woman is standing there. "Hey! You must be Lila, come in! Emlyn is just getting changed" I said, smiling. She smiles. "Hi, it's lovely to meet you." Said Lila. I let her in and make her a cup of tea.
She smiles and thanks me. "Let me call her" I said. I go outside and stop. "Emi? You ready?" I ask, shouting it up the stairs. "Coming daddy!" Said Emlyn, running down stairs. She runs down and jumps off the bottom step. "Go say hi to Lila" I said, nodding to the kitchen. We go inside.
"Hi, I'm Emlyn!" Said Emlyn. "Hi, sweetheart. I'm Lila" said Lila, smiling. I smile and nod. "The piano is through there" I said, pointing to the door. She thanks me and they go to the room. I go to the sitting room and turn on a random football match. I hear the piano going on and I smile.
I text some lads and then I go see if their ok. "Hey, you two ok?" I ask. "Daddy, can we have chocolate?" Asked Emlyn. "Your having dinner soon, sweetie" I said, smiling. She sighs and shakes her head. "I want chocolate!" Demanded Emlyn. "Emlyn Rue Gomez, your having dinner soon and your not ruining your appetite!" I said, looking at her. "No daddy! I want chocolate!" Whined Emlyn. Lila looks at me and shakes her head. I nod.
"Emlyn? But if you have dinner first, daddy will you chocolate but you have to have dinner first because you want to grow up strong to play piano" said Lila. I nod. "Ok" said Emlyn. I smile and thank Lila. "Thank you, Lila" I said, smiling. "No problem, the lesson is over. I should leave" said Lila.
"Do you want to stay for dinner?" I ask. "Um.... I can't. I have to meet my fiancé for dinner" said Lila. "Ok, have fun" I said. She leaves and I make dinner. We sit down and we enjoy our dinner. Once we finish, I clean up and give Emlyn chocolate while watching a movie.
I clean up the kitchen more and then I settle beside her. "Daddy? Why haven't you got a princess?" Asked Emlyn. "Baby girl, I have you" I said. "But daddy, I want a mommy" said Emlyn. "Sweetie, it's hard finding the perfect princess. I will try, my dear" I said, nodding. She nods and hugs me.
Lila and Emlyn do three piano lessons a week and today Lila turned up upset. "Want to talk before seeing Em?" I ask. She nods and we sit out the back. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Me and my fiancé broke up. I found out I was pregnant and he dumped me," said Lila. "Oh what a jerk" I said, nodding. "Now I have no where to really go yet." Said Lila. "You can stay here, till you find somewhere else" I said. "I can't" said Lila. "You can, so please" I said.
"Ok, thank you Joe" said Lila. I smile and hug her. Emlyn runs out and I smile. We go inside and they go to the piano room. I sit on the sofa and order some furniture for the guest room for her baby. Lila walks in. "Can I stay here for a short while?" Asked Lila. "You can live here, trust me. Me and Em need company" I said. "Joe" said Lila. "I just ordered furniture that I used to have for Em, so stay" I said. She smiles and nods. "Thank you, Joe. So much" said Lila.
She gets her stuff with me and then I help her unpack. We order Pizza and then we watch random movies. I smile and rub my hands together. I smile and glance at the clock. "Time for bed, Em" I said. She nods and I lead her to room. She gets changed and lies in her bed. I kiss her forehead and smile. "I love you, sweetheart" I said. "I love you daddy" said Emlyn. I smile and go downstairs.
Lila smiles at me and looks at the tv afterwards. "You've raised a good girl, Joe" said Lila. "Thank you, Lila" I said. She smiles. "How come you haven't dated anyone?" Asked Lila. "I wanted to be a good dad to Emlyn and I also want to only date to marry so I decided to stay single" I said. "Your allowed to date and be a good parent but I do understand dating for marriage. I was doing that and I thought Damon was it for me but I guess it wasn't true. I loved him but I guess he never really loved me considering how he handled the pregnancy news" said Lila. "I'm sorry, I really am" I said, looking in her eyes. "Thank you, Joe." Said Lila.
Nine months later Lila has a son, Easton James. Me and Lila got close and we're officially dating since she was 7 months.
Emlyn loves Easton and Easton loves Emlyn.
When Easton turned 1, I adopted him and proposed to Lila.
We got married 7 months later and we are incredibly happy.

Emlyn and Easton are so excited to be older siblings. I just want to say that I never thought this would be after discovering Emlyn.
