I'd spent a week in the library trying to figure out how to open the closed container.
Sebastian and Ominis were sometimes there already looking through books and old files to find out if there could be some sort of ancient charm or spell that had to be broken.
We came up empty.
I'd decided to take a break from the mysterious container for a bit. I figured an idea on how to break it would come eventually.
For now though, I needed to focus on my studies and honing my spell casting.
As well as figure out my outfit plans for the Golden Ball.
And then there's my revelation about Sebastian.
That night he taught me to dance replayed in my head every chance my brain wasn't occupied by something else.
He told me everything I needed to hear. A part of me felt selfish for being comforted about the issue. I can't just forget how much him and Ominis are risking.
But I couldn't deny I had stronger feelings for him.
I had no clue where he stood with me. For all I know he very well could see me as a sibling of sorts. Which was fine. I could live with it.
It did however make our interactions all the more awkward at times. But I think it was mostly just me being in my own head.
I tended to my makeshift garden for potions ingredients in the room of requirement one afternoon.
Sebastian sat in the corner reading a book. After awhile he had sort of conjured his own little nook in the room. Ominis did too.
It was quite funny how the room blended together. Sebastian's corner was a little messy. Papers, books, and supplies stacked on the desk he conjured. His chair was big enough for him to lay in and lounge. Everything a dark emerald green hue.
Some snacks also scattered about his desk. I'd always steal some. Not that he would even mind.
Ominis' corner had a desk. Nearly put together. Some books stacked. Along with a small safe he kept his notes in. Me and Sebastian theorized it was actually his own diary of some sort. As soon as I told him he could make his own space here, he moved it here, saying it was safer away from their other dorm mates.
He even had a potion table so he could practice potions. His weakest subject. But he was getting better.
" Are you still looking into how to open the case?" I asked Sebastian as I trimmed the leaves of my Mallowseet bush.
" Mhhm." He responded. " Why? Are you not?"
I shrugged. " I feel like we've hit a dead end we may have to consider looking into who this ' atlas' person is"
He closed his book. " probably some old weak selfish bastard." He groaned.
" You've been tending for awhile, Garden Snake." He chuckled standing over my shoulder suddenly.
I rolled my eyes. " This is basic pruning."
I turned around to be face to face. Only inches away from him.
" I've gotta be honest I thought your nickname was an exaggeration. But your little hideaway has proved me wrong." He chuckled looking around. I had designed it in a way that had plants and books stacked amongst each other. I loved the feel of nature. Surrounded by plants made the room feel less lonely last year. Aside from when Deek was hanging around.
A sudden soft knock came from the doorway before I could respond.
It was most definitely Ominis. The only other person who knew about the room.
