" Ominis still hasn't stopped giving Sebastian grief for sharing his bed with you." Anne giggled as we sat outside by the well in the center of feldcroft.

She felt like getting some sun, while the boys were making sure she would have everything she needed to stay in Feldcroft.

I scoffed. " I'm a bit shocked you're not upset about that... I did tell Sebastian I was more fearful of Ominis finding out."

She laughed. " It was a shock to wake up and hear the commotion... but absolutely hilarious..."

I laughed with her. I hadn't got much time to spend with Anne like I'd wanted after I met her. She definitely was Sebastian's twin. Minus the stupid decision making, in my opinion. That definitely made her a force to be reckoned with.

" What are your thoughts on my brother..?" She asked suddenly.

I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. " What do you mean...?"

She laughed softly and looked away. " I just mean... you guys obviously have something between you. And I wanna know how you feel."

I examined her closely. Was this going to be the moment she'd tell me she didn't want me for her brother. That she wanted him safe. I'd agree in an instant.

" I Uhm..." I thought for a moment. " We're friends and we'll we just have a lot we have to—"

" He told me he fancies you already. You don't have to hide it." She said instantly.

I stared at her in shock as my face reddened. I turned away.

" ... Well... uhm... guess there's no need for me to sugar coat things, I love him, Anne." I confessed.

She smiled. " I'm glad. He needs someone like you."

" What do you mean? I really only seem to put people around me in danger." I scoffed.

She shook her head. " No I know. But he listens to you... even last year when he took it too far, he'd ask immediately... ' I don't know what Valeria will think but this is worth a try'." She explained slowly.

" That's how I knew you were a good influence. You may agree and want to help him. But you offered him logic. Something he lacks." She rolled her eyes.

I couldn't help but laugh and nod. " He has too much logic I think. Too much of his own logic, rather."

She laughed. " Though he didn't listen to you. I'd never heard him say that before."

" Say what, exactly?" I asked.

" Well... when it comes to a plan or something of his. He charges in full force. This was the first time I witnessed him pause and wonder what someone else would have to say on the matter." She explained slowly. " I had no idea it would lead to what happened but... perhaps it had to for him to get some sense knocked harder into him." She said softly.

" I'm truly sorry I couldn't stop him though... Anne." I said looking at her. She looked so fragile. And tired.

" I don't blame you... I don't even blame him... or Soloman. Not anymore. I'm too tired to." She started. " And I'm sorry for telling your auntie about what happened but..." she took a breath.

" Why did you tell her...?" I asked. " Sebastian mentioned you told him why but...it feels like something's missing."

" Your aunt told me she was an unspeakable. And friends with my uncle." She started. " I told Sebastian I believe I'm at the end of this curse. And it's not what he or I want... to be honest... that doesn't mean I'm through searching for something to help either..."
