I'd received news from Thalia one morning. She was still searching for leads on how to open the compact compartment. It was harder to do because she wasn't sure who she could trust to discuss it.

But she did say she had a strong lead on how to cure Anne with a curse breaker.

She asked that I not tell Sebastian or Anne yet. If it ended up being a dead end, she didn't want them to be disappointed.

Well mostly Anne.

She definitely still had disdain for Sebastian.
One that I didn't quite know how to ease tensions for.

I didn't dare tell Sebastian what Anne told me about why she told Thalia. I saw what Anne was doing.

She was keeping Sebastian's hands tied. So he couldn't act on impulse again when it came to saving her.

Since he became Captain he had a bit of a pep in his step. Of course, seeing Anne again definitely helped boost his mood more.

Ominis mentioned he heard Sebastian sneaking a chocolate frog before bed again. Apparently that was a habit of his. Quietly snacking on the chocolate frog while others slept, thinking no one would hear the wrappings at all. But Ominis, with the best hearing out of all of us, would always hear him.

He had not sneaked the sweet since he killed Soloman.

I wonder if it's because it reminded him of Anne in some way.

When classes ended for the day, I quickly stopped at my dormitory, grabbing my broom and made my way to the quidditch field for our little scrimmage. Ominis was excited. Every chance he'd get this week, he'd give me a tip for how to play the best possible way.

He didn't know how terrible I was on a broom though.

None of them did.

This will be fun.

Ominis and Sebastian we're already there.

Ominis had an enchanted notepad that looked to be scribbling away our names so he could keep track of what was going on.

A ravenclaw boy with blonde hair stood beside Ominis nodding to something he was saying, as I approached the three boys.

" This feels more like a serious and real game than a scrimmage." I laughed softly.

Ominis smiled instantly. " What fun is it to not make it into a serious game?"

Sebastian turned around and grinned. " you ready..?" He said with a raised eyebrow.

I rolled my eyes. " You say that like you've already won, Sallow. I may just surprise you today." I said confidently.

He chuckled, then looked at the blonde Ravenclaw. " Oh by the way, this is Andrew Larson."

I looked at him to realize he was a bit familiar. I think we'd spoken once in beasts class last year. That was it though. I didn't even catch his name.

I looked at him and smiled with a small nod. " Valeria Lowell. It's nice to meet you."

He smiled and nodded. " You as well, Valeria. I'm looking forward to this little match up." He said with eagerness.

" Andrew is hoping to be chosen to be an announcer for the quidditch season. So I asked him to announce calls for this match for us, while I keep track of everything on parchment." He said proudly.

" This feels so official." I laughed softly and nodded. " it does sound more fun now."

" I wonder how this will play out. I hear Crow is a wicked fast flyer. Shame he doesn't want to commit to the team though." Andrew said with a sigh.
