I paced back and forth outside near the landmark Thalia wanted us to meet at. Ominis was sitting in the grass with his head against the tree. Sebastian stood with his arms crossed, curiously watching anyone who happened to pass by.

" Why are you nervous?" He suddenly asked.

I stopped and looked at him. " I'm not nervous. Just thinking." I shrugged.

" You have a tendency to pace while nervous though." He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. " I don't know what she'll expect of me."

" Why would she be expecting something of you?" He asked.

I shrugged. I couldn't figure out why I felt this way.

He was silent for a moment.

" Hey... Why are you fearful of your own mother?" He asked.

I immediately shot a glance in his direction. I took a breath trying to figure out how to explain it.

" You don't have to share. But I'm quite curious." Ominis suddenly said. His eyes closed as his head leaned against the tree. He suddenly smirked. " I'll share if you do."

I laughed softly. Knowing he was referencing the figure the boggart transformed into for him.

I took a breath. "Well... My mother could be quite stern. She has.... had high expectations of me. And did everything she could to ensure that I met those along with my father's." I shrugged.

" So she was controlling?" Sebastian stated bluntly.

Ominis' eyes snapped open and he leaned his head off the tree. " Sebastian!" He scolded.

I couldn't help but laugh. " It's fine. He's right... I walked on eggshelves around her my whole life. She had some...unorthodox methods to make sure I complied as well." I said, gently rubbing my wrist behind my back. She possessed a black leather strap, that would strike across my wrists when I misbehaved, or stepped out of line. It didn't take long for me to learn what would put me out of line. But more often than not, something would give her reason to.

" Your aunt won't do anything to you." he stated simply. " just because she looks like your mother, does not mean she is her."

I looked at him piecing together what he was saying. He was right on the mark. Before I even realized. I really would have preferred my only aunt and family at this point, to not be an exact copy of my mother. But oh well. What was I really to do about it?

"hmm... perhaps you're right." I nodded. " Anyway.. Ominis'? I believe it's your turn."

He chuckled. "It was my father. He'd tap his cane 3 times when he was angry. Just like the boggart. That's how I knew I was in for it. Whatever it was." he sighed.

I nodded in understanding. The sky was a beautiful blue. With clouds covering the sun every so often, It made it easier to see it's vibrant hue.

"Do you think there's a chance we could become like them?" I wondered out loud.

The boys were silent.

Ominis began to shake his head. " No. I think that's how we evolve naturally. Every generation is already better in some way." He said softly.

Sebastian nodded. " We were never like them to begin with anyway." He shrugged. He looked slightly guilty. Upset that he wasn't like his own parents.

I looked up only to suddenly spotted a figure rounding the cliff towards us, behind Sebastian.

She wore all black like the last time I saw her.

But her expression looked odd to me.

I then noticed a smaller figure trailing behind her.
